The men of the Couples’ Club entertained the group by put- ting on a ‘Fashion Show,” which was enjoyed by all. Richard Ide, president of the Couples Club, presided at the business’ meeting. Plans were made for the auction to be held on the Lehman Horse Show grounds June 13. The program will begin at 10 a.m. at the Dalton Seminary and will include a variety of in- formative programs, including participation in the liturgy, tours, conferences, scripture service, recreation and lunch and dinner. Senior Girl Scout Troop 660 will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Elwood Swingle to make favors and plan for a party to be given at Retreat State Hospital May 14. Dallas Legion auxiliary holds poster contest American Legion Auxiliary Unit 672 of Dallas has invited students in fifth through 12th grades at Dallas to participate in a “Poppy Poster Contest.” The unit hopes to stimulate an increased feeling of patriotism as Memorial Day draws near. Winning posters in each class will be sent to the Auxiliary’s State Convention at Harrisburg. to compete on a state-wide basis with winners of other units. State winners will go on to the National Convention. Members of the Dallas Auxiliary Unit feel there is a possibility that a Dallas student will win national recognition.
