Mrs. Al Rinken, Mrs. Ruth Wal-
ters land Mrs. Robert Parks were
hostesses for the Confidence Class
meeting held in the churchhouse on
Tuesday night. It was decided to
haye a white elephant sale at the
next meeting. Charlotte Calkins will
give a demonstration on Christmas
decoration. It was also decided to
get more dish cloths. :

atives and friends.

will serve a family style Turkey
Supper (including home-made pie,)
on Saturday Oetobér 29th from 5 to
7 o'clock,

86th birthday, Saturday evening.
Her granddaughter Lois Martin,
with whom she resides, made her

Mrs. Jessie W. Gordon
Lived Here Three Years
Mrs. Jessie W. Gordon, Trucks-
ville, who died Wednesday morning
at Nesbitt Hospital, after having
been a patient there for one week,

was buried at Cedar Crest Cemetery
Grove Armstrong, from the Snow-
Saturday afternoon, following serv-
don Funeral Home.
Born in Mill City, the former Jes-
sie Walters : lived in Wilkes-Barre
until moving to Trucksville three
years ago to make her home with
her daughter Mrs. Leonard Laskow-
ski.
She has been employed. by Ed-
ward Eyerman and Son, and later at’
the Bennett Building. She retired
five years ago.
Moving to this area, she joined
the Park Neighborhood Free Meth-
odist Church and its Women's Mis-
sionary Society.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs.
Laskowski and Mrs. William Schoch,
White Haven; two sons: Frank,
Newark, N.J.;; and Richard, of
Trucksville; two sisters, a twin, Mrs.
Jennie Sweezy Nafus, Kingston; and
Miss Norma Walters, Vallejo, Cali-
fornia; ten grandchildren and two
greatgrandchildren.
Her husband Frank C. Gordon
died eleven years. ago.
