A six pound, three ounce daugh-
ter, Susan, was born to Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Shrey, James Street, Shaver-
town, September 9 at Nesbitt Hos-
pital, There are two sons, Joey,
three and Jimmy, two.
Mrs. Shrey is the former Joan
Callahan, Forty Fort. Mr. Shrey is
an helicopter gunnist in Viet Nam,
stationed there in the 3rd Flight
Platoon with the Army, as a Special-
ist.

first Executive Board Meeting of
the season on Monday, September
12 at the home of Mrs. Charles

nounced that the first monthly
meeting will be held Wednesday,
September 26 in the Acme Audi-

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Davis, 180
Parrish Street, Dallas, celebrated
their 24th wedding anniversary on
September 19.
The former Velma Haring and |
‘Mr. Davis were married in Dallas
Methodist Church by the late Austin
L. Prynn. Mrs. Davis’is the daughter
of Mrs. Rose Haring, Trucksville and
the late Mr. Haring. Her husband
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Davis, Dallas.
Mrs. Davis is circulation manager
of the Dallas Post, /teaches Sunday !
School at Huntsville Christian
Church of which the couple are
members and is active in church
Lehman Woman's
work. As a hobby she turns to
bowling and gardening.
Mr. Davis serves on the Dallas
Borough Council and as an elder at
Huntsville Christian Church. He is
also a member of the American
Society of ‘Tool Manufacturers and
the Church Bowling League. Mr.
Davis is Production Foreman at Roy-
er Foundry and Machine Company,
where he has been employed over
| 30 years.
They are the parents of two sons,
James and Ricky. There are also
two = grandchildren, Jimmy and
Debbie.
Club To Hold
Fine Fashion Show In November
First meeting of the fall season’
was held by the Lehman Women's
Club at the Lehman Fire Hall, with
Mrs. Edward Kanasky presiding.
Mrs. Robert Laymon, Budget and
Finance Chairman, introduced pro-
jects to be accomplished this fall,
a Rummage Sale in November and a
i Fashion Show in October.
Mrs. Richard Bingaman,
man of the fashion show, announced
it would be held on Friday evening,
October 21'at the Lehman Elemen-
tary School at 8 o'clock. Fashion
show will be sponsored by Lazarus
Department Store. Mrs. Marilyn
Kennedy will be commentator. Door
prizes will be awarded.
Mrs. Edward Jones, Public Af-
airs chairman, reported that she
and her committee delivered gifts
for the carnival at Retreat State
Hospital. A party was held in
August for the seven women at
Maple Cottage, which is sponsored
by the Women’s Club. Another
party will be held at Retreat on
September 20 to commemorate the
birthday of one of the patients.
Again this year the club will sell
note paper and Christmas cards de-
picting historic scenes and monu-
ments of Pennsylvania. This is a
State Federation project to help
promote the beauty of the state.
New members introduced by Mrs.
Edward Belasco were Mrs. Walter
F. Blejwas Jr. land Mrs. John
Stepanik.
The monthly drawing for a gift
donated by a member of the club
was won by Mrs» Richard Bingaman.
Proceeds of this go into a fund fr
the Retreat State project.

spoke and showed slides on “Liv-
ing with Fragrances’.
New Choir Forming
Any interested members of the
newly organized Eastern Orthodox
Church in Lehman are asked ‘to
report for choir rehearsal at Trin-
ity United Presbyterian Church,
Dallas, on Friday evening at 8.
Mrs. ‘Gerald Sudick, wife of the
pastor, will direct the new choral
group to be formed.
