First Alumni Reunion At Hayfield,
On New Official Penn State Campus
Hayfield Farms will be the scene
of the first home-campus Alumni
Reunion on Saturday, June 11.
Joseph Mack and Albert Kryzew-
ski, co-chairman for the first annual
Alumni reunion for the Pennsyl-
vania State University Wilkes-Barre
Center, have announced the pro-
gram for festivities.
The committee has planned regis-
tration from 2:30-3 p. m.
Wives of alumni will enjoy a
program presented by Mrs. Stefan
Hellersperk on Accessories and
Beauty.
Games of horseshoes, badminton,
volley ball and soft ball will be
scheduled for the men, with golf
privileges available for those who
prefer at nearby Lehman Country
Club.
At 6:30 p. m., a chicken barbecue
supper will be served on the front
Jury ‘Decides For Bronson
A jury trial recently decided a
lawsuit in Sweet Valley in favor
of Alfred and Mildred Bronson.
Point of dispute was a boundary
line between the Bronson ‘property
and that of McKinley Long, a nar-
row wedge ten feet long which
the defendant claimed. |
Exhaustive surveys showed that
the wedge was the property of the
Bronsons, and the jury so decided.
Orthodox Congregation
For the past three months, Trinity
United Presbyterian Church has
been host to meetings of repre-
sentatives of an Orthodox congrega-
tion which is seriously considering
settling in this area and eventually
erecting an edifice.
Rev. Andrew Pillarella has wel-
comed use of the new Presbyterian
Church building as a toe-hold for
this new venture in expansion of
the Back Mountain religious picture.
