NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that

: School District Board of Directors
Exclusive held April 12, 1966, a resolution
N : was adopted to approve a tentative
ew 3 budget, for the school year 1966-
1967, which sets forth therein ex-
penditures in the total amount of
$1,583,300.00, based on a tax levy
of 36 mills per dollar ($3.60 per
hundred dollars of assessed valu-
ation on real estate); a per capita
tax of $5.00 per taxable person,
under authority of Section 679 of
the Pennsylvania School Laws of
Styles
1949 and its amendments, and a
reenactment of a per capita tax of
$5.00 per taxable person, under
authority of Act 511 of December
31, 1965, a revision of Act 481 of
June 25, 1947, without substantial
change, making a total of per capita
taxes of $10.00 to be levied and
collected from each taxable person.
Said tax is necessary for general
revenue purposes to pay the salaries
of the employees as prescribed in
the salary schedules of the District
and to meet the current expenses
of the Dallas School District.
Proposed budget may be inspect-
ed by any interested person or per-
sons at the office of the secretary
of the Board, Dallas’ Senior High
School Building, Dallas, Pennsyl-
vania.
NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN of the
provisions of Act 193 approved June
30, 1951 (P.L. 962) requiring that
every resident or inhabitant of the
School District upon attaining the
age of twenty-one years of age or
becoming a resident or inhabitant
of the District, shall within 12
months after the happening thereof,
notify the assessor, Russell Daubert,
123 Blackman Street, Wilkes-
Barre, Pennsylvania, of his becom-
ing of age lor becoming a resident
or inhabitant. Any person failing,
within said period, to notify said
assessor, or his successor, of said
school district, shall, in addition to
the tax levied by such school dis-
trict, be liable to said school dis-
trict in a penal sum equal to such
tax.
