Foss gets about to perform small
| chores for her daughter, Mrs. Wil-

| She enjoys television, but has had
to give up her favorite hobby of
reading due to failing eyesight.
Alert, friendly and interested in
all her friends and family members,
she is a joy to know.
Mrs. Foss is the mother of three
children, Clifford, Dallas, Thomas,
Sweet Valley and Mrs. Lynn. There
are. seven grandchildren and one;
| great grandchild.
She is a member of Church of

Four Years April 10
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin D. Kistler,
New Goss Manor, Dallas, will cele-
brate their fourth wedding anniver-
sary on April 10.
Mrs. Kistler is the former Hilda
Newberry of Wellington Avenue and
is the mother of Severn Newberry,
Lake Silkworth.'
Mrs. Kistler, an engineer at Atlas
Chain, West Pittston, has a son,

The couple, have two grandchil-

at Mercy Hospital

Mrs. Boyd R. White presided at
the March meeting of the Executive
Board of the Dallas Senior Woman’s
Club held last week at the home of

Plans were made for the April,
13th meeting of the membership as
well as the next meeting of the
Executive Board at which time the

Scholarship Loan Committee and re-

Convention being held in Philadel-
phia May 18, 19, and 20, and of
the Luzerne County Federation of
Woman's Clubs meeting being held
April 13th at the Irem Temple
Country Club.
Correspondance was read concer-
ning the 10th Annual Conference
being held at University Park July
19th to the 21st.
Next Executive Board meeting
will be held at the home of Mrs.
Henry Moyer at 6:30 on April 25th.
In charge of the dinner for the
new officers will be Mrs. Howard
Wiley, Mrs. Fred Eck and Mrs. Boyd
White. Mrs. John Williams and Mrs.
Verne Groff will provide entertain-
ment.

Centermoreland, feted their mother
on the occasion of her 75th birth-
day at a dinner party on April 3rd
at her home.
Mrs. Besteder, who is the former
Ruby Schoonover, daughter of the
late Stacey and Jestie Schoonover,
has lived in Centermoreland = all
of her life.” Upon the death of her
husband, the late Walter Besteder,
she took over his duties as post-
master and served in this’ capacity
for some time.
In good health, she raises flowers
as ‘a hobby and tenderly cares for

side her home and during the sum-
mer menths in her garden.
