Carverton, celebrated his 83rd
birthday on Sunday, March 13.
Mr. Bamert, who was born at
Zurich, Switzerland, came to this
country at an early age. He settled
in Wilkes-Barre, and shortly after
marriage to the former Susie Kuns-
man, moved to the West Side. His
wife died many years ago and he
then . married the former Agnes
Ryan of Kingston.
A nature lover, he takes his daily |
stroll in the woods with his pet |
hound, believing that activity keeps |
one in the best of health. When |

men during the winter months, he
cleared his own walks and driveway |
