town, a patient at Retreat Hospital
for the past two weeks, died Tues-
day morning.
Burial will be Friday afternoon
Evergreen Cemetery, following serv-

at 1 p.m. Rev. Robert D. Yost
will officiate.
Mr. Ockenhouse was born in
Fairview Township, son of the late
Bernard and Eva Kemmerer Ocken-
house. For most of his life, he
resided in Shavertown, where he
belonged to Shavertown Methodist
Church, and at times served as a
crossing guard for childre nof the
elementary school.
Until retirement age, he was em-
ployed as a fireman for Duplan Silk |
Mill. |
He leaves his widow, the former |
Louisa Calkins; children: Mrs. Fan- |
nie Williams, Milford, Conn.; Wil-
liam, Newark, N. J.; Russell, Dallas;
Robert, Gibsonville, N. C.; Mrs. |
Doris Galka, Noxen; Mrs. Eleanor
Kilcrease, Muskegon, Mich; 21
grandchildren and one greatgrand-
child. A son Allen died last year.
Mrs. Edna Davenport
Mrs. Edna Davenport, 62, Shick-
shinny RD, died Thursday morning
in Berwick Hospital, to which she |
had been admitted six weeks earlier.
Burial was Monday morning in
Elan Memorial Park, following ser-
vices conducted by Rev. Arthur
Barrett from the Bronson Funeral
Home.
Native of Columbia County, Mrs.
Davenport lived in Shickshinny for
the past 42 years. She was a mem-
ber of Harmony Methodist Church.
Her husband Elwood died eight
years ago.
