Sanctuary was announced today by |
Peter Edge, President of the non- |
profit association + which operates
the sanctuary. The appointment is
I effective May 1, upon the retire-|
ment of Maurice Broun .who has
directed the
refuge since
years ago.
Nagy came to the sanctuary in
1953 from employment with Beth-
lehem Steel Corporation because of
his lifetime interest in wild animals
and the out-of-doors. He quickly
established his place at the sanctu-
ary in friendly contact with thous-
ands of visitors and the anual count
of migrating hawks at the Lockout.
He was born in Allentown, gradu-
ating from Fountain Hill High
School in 1943 and attending the
Kings Point Merchant Marine Acad-
emy. After 3 years on active duty

held recently in Philadelphia, How-
ard Whitesell, president of White-
sell Brothers, Inc., of Dallas, was
re-elected to the office of vice-

the 74th Annual Convention of the
Middle Atlantic Lumbermens Asso-
