Lehigh Ranks High As Producer Of Leaders A nationwide survey recently published on the origins of the top 1,000 corporate chiefs of 600 larg- est American companies reveals that Lehigh University continues to be one of the nation’s most prolific producers of men who are “captains of industry” in the United States. A somewhat similar survey made in 1955 showed Lehigh to be of equally high ranking ever since 1925. The corporate chiefs selected to | participate in the 1965 survey are either board chairmen, presidents, or principal vice presidents at their companies. Only 45 of the more than 2,000 colleges and universities in the nation qualified for the listing, which included those institutions the top 1,000 executives.
