Local Hairdresser Wins
Awards In Hairstyling
Local hairdresser, John Maniskas, |
Lackawanna Avenue, Dallas, recent-
ly won the hair dressing award for
District 3 at Media, Pa. This en-
titles him to participate in the hair-
styling state finals in January.
At Kingston Sunday, Mr. Manis-
kas won first prize in the men’s
division and grand prize in the
division for both men and women.

MRS. DAISY PRYNN, EIGHTY
Mrs. Daisy Prynn was recently
honored by her seven children on
her 80th birthday. Mrs. Prynn was
formerly Daisy Wilson, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wilson,
Demunds.
A family dinner was held at the
Kingston House, followed by open
i. at the home of her daughter,
Msg Glahn.

from her children.
It had been years since Mrs.

|Prynn and her four sons and three
|daughters had been together. They |
|were a happy family, hoping their |
mother would have many more |

this mother, Mrs. Viola Brace and
Isister Mrs. Bruce (Irene) Davies,
over last weekend. They also visited
Marge’s father, Corey Smith of
‘Sweet Valley. Daughter-Brenda is

bed, in his home in East Dallas, and
Ted’s wife Jule is convalescing at

trove their 50th wedding anniver-

|dinner at Irem Temple Country
IClub. Present were: Mr. and Mrs.

| Bedford, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Dixon,
|Kristie and Kimberly Bedford, Rod-
ney Weiss.
Mr. and Mrs. Perry were married
lat Carverton Parsonage by Rever-
end Ivan Snyder, in 1915.

Methodist Charge, are rejoicing
over ‘the arrival of their first child,
an eight pound son, born Saturday,
November 6. We are all happy for
them.
Mrs. Lois Croman, accompanied
by her brother Ollin Webb, his
wife Mollie, and their grandson,
from Catasaqua; have returned
home from a ten-day trip to Tampa,
Florida. They traveled down the
Fast-moast and returned by way of
the West coast.
Mrs. William Schuster, Apple-
wood Manor, entertained Mrs. Ann
Vernon, Trucksville and Wilson
Cease and Warren at dinner on
election day. Mr. Cease and War-
ren reciprocated by taking them to
dinner at the Trucksville Fire Hall,
after spending the day at the
Schuster home.
Charles Moore, wife Janet and
baby, have returned to their home
in Rhode Island, after spending last
week with his parents, Mr. and
' Mrs. Raymond Moore.
