Nor- ris, Chase, will be laid to rest this morning at 11 near the home where she had resided since her marriage many years ago. Mrs. Norris, 91, passed away Sunday afternoon in Mercy Hos- pital, following a heart attack suf- fered on Sat tarday. She had ap- parently rallied and.her death was unexpected. Born in Beaumont, the daughter of the late Almond and Sarah Phoe- nix Woolbert, Mrs. Norris came of pioneer stock and was the last surviving member of a family of | six boys and three girls. She be- came the bride of Charles Norris and settled ih him in the Hunts- ville area. . Norris passed away in 1939. Since that time she had resided in her own home, performing her usual household tasks. Lacking transportation to take her growing family to church for the religious instruction she felt was important, Mrs. Deater started hold- ing classes in her own home. When her neighbors heard about it, they asked to have their children take part. In time, there were as many as thirty children meeting for Sun- day School in the Deater home, taught first by Mrs. Deater, later assisted by her older children.
