married August 3, 1940, in Centen-
ary Tabernacle Methodist Church,
Camden, N. J., by the Rev. Gordon
Lowden, a former classmate.
Matron of Honor was Mrs. A.
sister of Mrs. Ratcliffe. Best Man
was Dr. Howard B. Ratcliffe, Phil-
adelphia, brother of Mr. Ratcliffe.
Other atendants were Mr. and
Mrs. Samuel W. Stiles, New Goss
Manor, Mr. Harris Willet of Camden
and Mrs. Samuel Wright, Somer’s
Point, N. J. Patricia Ann Lillie, New
York City, was her aunt's flower
girl.
The Rattcliffes moved here from
Runnemede, N. J. in 1952. They
are parents of two sons, Richard,
19, a student in Westminster Choir
College, Princeton, N. J., and David,
13, in the ninth grade at Dallas |
Junior High School.

Robert Graham Named
Janus Players Director
Robert Graham, Shavertown, is
Director of this summer's produc-
tion of the Janus Players, ‘The
Mouse That Roared”, to be given
August 20 and 21 at Wilkes-Barre
Little Theater. J
This is the third season for the
Players, only local acting group
active during the summer, and the
only one of its kind in the country-
completely teenage. Although based
at Little Theater, it is an independ-
ent organization. Previous pro-
ductions have been “When Kings
Fall” and “Our Town’.
Bob, who will be a senior at Dal-
las High School in September, is
an apprentice member of Little
Theater. He played Louie, the
April. Last summer he was George
Gibbs in the Janus Players “Our
Town”. He played Phil in Little
Theater's “Gypsy”, was part of the
technical crew for “A Thousand
Clowns” and “The Crucible”, and
was assistant stage manager for
“Li'l Abner”.

Receive M.S. Degree
Robert D. Edwards, of Coopers-
burg, Pa., will receive his Master's
Degree in Business Education and
Finance from Bloomsburg State
College today.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Edwards, Carverton, the young man
has taught at the Palisades High
School in Kintnerville, Pa., for the
past five years. He is a graduate
of Westmoreland High School, and
Bloomsburg State College and serv-
ed with the U. S. Navy.
Mr. Edwards is married to the
former Phyllis Crocker, Trucksville,
ahd is the father of two sons, Todd
and Lloyd.
His wife, his parents, his grand-
mother, Mrs. Blanche Piatt and his
sister, Mrs. Hall Shaver will witness

Warren E. Denmon, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Andrew Denmon, Daven-
port Street, Dallas, has been ap-
pointed director of admissions at
Monmouth College, West Long
Branch, N. J., where he has been
serving as dean of men since last
fall.
Mr. Denmon graduated from
Kingston High School and served
four years in the Air Force. He
received @ B. S. degree in secon-
dary education from Wilkes College
and a Master of Education degree
from Rutgers University. He taught
at Massena, N. Y., Central School
and Brick Township, N. J., where
he did guidance work before be-
coming director of student activi-
ties at Monmouth College.
The grandson of Mrs. Earl Monk, |
Dallas, he is married to the former |
Sandra Graves, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Graves, Shavertown.
They are parents of two daughters,

Alfonso Stepanski Jr., son of Mr.
‘and Mrs. Alfonso Stepanski Sr.,
Pikes Creek, recently enlisted in
the Air Force and left Tuesday for
Lackland, Texas. Upon comple-
tion of basic training he expects to
study refrigeration and air condi-
tioning.

Jewel Ann Smith Has
Seventh Birthday Party
Jewel Ann Smith was seven years
old July 24 and celebrated with
the kind of party she can remem-
ber for years to come.
There were thirty boys and girls
to enjoy the pony rides and games
in the wide open spaces of Meadow
Lake Cabins. The resulting ap-
petites were satisfied with ham-
burgs and hot dogs cooked out-
doors. - Of course, there was ice
cream and a beautiful birthday

Operatives of America union of Na-
tona Mills will be held this year
on August 7 from 12 noon to 8 p.m.
at Watahunee Park, Harveys Lake.

Branch A-23, heads the committee
making arrangements. Other mem-
bers of the committee are John
Hardiman, Renford Wilce, Lowell
Roberts, Stanley Kalish and Jack
Hiller. Music for dancing will be
furnished by the Pennsylvanians
from 5 to 9 p.m.
