Boys 16-19 are eligible. The roster from Back Mt. is-com- prised of boys from Lehman High School, Dallas High and Wilke College. Hard hitting Bill Simpson and Dale Prynn will help pave the clubs attack. Williams Completes Cannoneer Training Pvt. Harold D. Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Williams, Shavertown, completed advanced _ training as a cannoneer under the Q) Reserve Enlistment Program at the " Army Artillery and Missile Center, Fort. Sill, Okla., June 17. / Williams was trained in. the preparation, loading -and firing * of field artillery guns and howitzers. He received basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. He was graduated from Dallas High School in 1964 and wads em- pioyed by Natona Mills, Dallas, be- fore going on active duty. Sergeant Bernard Mazer In Nordic Air Maneuver Army Sergeant First Class Bern- ard Mazer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mazer, Lehman, who took part in operation British-Denmark maneuver which ended June 21. The two-week exercise featured the third largest airdrop of Ameri- can troops in Europe since World War II. It began June 12 in Borris, Den- ark, where Sergeant Mazer, nor- | ". mally assigned to Service Battery, | 45th Battalion, of the 8th Infantry Division's 81st Artillery near Wies- baden, Germany, joined with mem- bers of allied forces to work on co- operative strategy as a part of the NATO plan to provide protection for tke northern European defenses. Mazer entered the Army in 1951 | and arrived overseas in September | 1963 on this tour of duty. Dugan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dugan, Shavertown, was assigned to the 4th U.S. Army Missile: Command in Korea, June 9. Specialist Dugan is a clerk in the command's 4th Support Company. He entered the Army in 1960 and was last stationed at Fort Ben- ning, Ga, Dugan was graduated in 1960 from Lake-Lehman High School in Lehman. Before entering the Army, he was ‘employed by Gavy’s Market in Shavertown, Dallas Area Summer School be- gan June 21 wand will continue through July 30. 180 students are enrolled in the session, which offers all courses in English, history, science, and mathematics.
