Son Aboard Big Ship
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rauch and

Saturday in New York City as the
guest of their son, Bradley L. Rauch
aboard the U.S.S. Champlain which
arrived that day from Bermuda.

as fireman apprentice on the huge
aircraft carrier enlisted in the ser-

Lakes. He has been on three
cruises to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba;

sail up the Hudson River from atop
Empire State Building, thrilling to
the magnificent sight as the U.S.S.
Champlain barely cleared the new
Verrazano Suspension Bridge on its
way to dock at Pier 86.
The Rauches then went down to
the shoreline where they were met
by Bradley and taken on a tour
of the ship. After a three day stay
in dock, the U.S.S. Champlain re-
turned to Quantico, R.L
