The bride. who was given in mar-
riage “by. her father wore a full
length gown of white bouquet taf-
feta and Chantilly lace styled with
a portrait neckline, - fitted bodice
and long tapered sleeves. The
apron skirt had a front panel of
lace and a sweeping chapel train
enhanced by three tiers of lace.
Her fingertip veil of illusion ar-
| ranged in three tiers fell from a
! crown of lace and pearls. She car-
ried a Colonial bouquet of white
roses and pompons with an orchid
in the center.
Mrs. Elton Brace, East Dallas,
matron of honor selected a full
length gown of mandarin blue bou-
quet taffeta fashioned in an Em-
pire silhouette with scoop neckline
and elbow shy sleeves. The A-line
‘skirt fell from a band at the waist
enhanced by a cabbage rose and
the back featured a detachable wat-
teau train. Her headpiece was a
matching open pillbox with Dior
bow and circular nose length veil,
and her Colonial bouquet was of

{4 'blue mist and white pompons.

both of Wilkes-Barre; Mrs, James
Griffith, Harveys Lake, and Mrs.

They were dressed identical to the
matron of honor in [Persian rose
shades and carried bouquets of
azalia pink and white pompons. All
wore single strand pearl necklaces,

She was adorable in a mandarin
blue bouquet taffeta floor length

overskirt and large bow at the back. |
On her head she wore a floral head- |
| band and carried a basket of blue
mist, azalia pink and white pom-
pons.
Elton Brace served as best man

The mother of the bride chose a
mauve ‘rose point chantilly lace
dress fashioned with scoop neck-
line, cap sleeves and sheath skirt.
Her pillbox hat of mauve silk or-
ganza was trimmed with sequin
leaves, white accessories and white
orchid corsage.
Mrs. Kunkle, the bridegroom’s
mother, selected a toast colored re-
embroidered lace sheath with jacket
and three quarter length sleeves.
Her hat was a gold rainbow lame
toque. She wore deep brown ac-
cessories and her corsage was of
white orchids.
A reception followed at O’'Con-
nell’s Kingston House after which
the couple left on a honeymoon to
Alabama and Florida.
They will reside at 86 Carverton
Road, Trucksville, upon ‘their re-
turn.
For going away the bride wore a
grey and black two piece suit dress
trimmed in red and a red coat with
mink collar, grey and black acces-
sories and white orchid’ corsage.
The bride was feted at a variety
shower given by her bridal attend-
ants, a pantry shower by Mrs. Ruth
Turn Reynolds, and a luncheon at
Hotel Sterling by Mrs. Robert Car-
ver and Miss Mary Ann Kushin.
The brigeroom’s parents entertain-
ed at Irem ‘Temple Country Club
at a rehearsal party.

Piatt, Elwood Whitesell, Carl Swan-

packed in the Christmas baskets.

Gerlach built and where they have
since resided.
Mr. Gerlach who retired after
being employed a number of years
at the Vulcan Iron Works is sexton
at St. Paul's Lutheran Church,
Shavertown of which the couple are
active members.
There are two children, Mrs. Wal-
ter Gosart, Shavertown, and Wal-
ter Jr., Elyria, Ohio, and six grand-
children, three boys and three girls.
The anniversary was observed
quietly by the couple.

ratient in Nesbitt Hospital where
he will remain for anothar week to
ten devs after suffering a heart
attack. Mr. Covert within the 1ext
two weeks will celebrate his &5th
birthday and 24th weddiig anni-
versary. He hopes to bz home for
the latter and the Christmas holi-
days.
