town and now resides in Luzerne is
a patient in Nesbitt Memorial Hos-
pital.
Mr. and Mrs. Abram Nesbitt, III,
of 42nd Street, Dallas, entertained
at a family party on Wednesday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. William Pierce, Jr.,
Harveys Lake, spent the weekend
in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Heidere and
Mrs. Elsa Fischer, Fernbrook, re-
turned home last week after spend-
ing three months in Germany, Aus-
tria and Switzerland.
Herbert Riley is a patient in Nes-
bitt Hospital. :
Mrs. Stuart Marks, Lehman re-
turned home last Friday after
spending several weeks as the guest
of her brother, George Campbell
at Henderson, Nevada, and touring
the West ‘Coast.
‘Mrs. R. M. Harding, Herndon,
Va., arrived Thursday evening to
spend several days with her mother,
Mrs. T. M. B. Hicks, Pioneer Ave-
nue. Mrs. Hicks returned home on
Friday after being a patient at
Nesbitt Hospital several days.

Mrs. Fred Nicely, Shavertown, is
staying near her husband at Uni-
versity of Penna. Hospital, where
he underwent surgery on Wednes-
day.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Buzankai,
Brooklyn, N. Y., have moved to 247
Meadowcrest. Mr. Buzankai is a
Political Science instructor at Feng s
College.
Mrs. Dorothy Miers returned
home last weekend after having
been a patient in Nesbitt Hospital.
Herman Coon, Carverton, is still
recuperating after having been a
patient in Nesbitt Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Gager,
Dallas, have purchased the former
Hastings property at Elmecrest.
Carl Fry is visiting relatives in
Germany.
Mrs. A. F. Clifford, Lehman Ave-
nue, entered Gelsinger Medical Cen-
ter on Monday for observation and
treatment. She is in Room 501.
Rev. and Mrs. Russell Lawry
came back to Dallas to cast their
ballots on Tuesday.
Mrs. Drew Fitch, and fourteen
month old son, Drew, Jr., King
Street, Dallas, have returned after
spending a week in Neshanic Sta-
tion, N.J., after visiting Mrs. Fitches
sister and family, Mr. and Mrs.
David Hudak. This was Drew Jr's.
first bus ride, and he enjoyed it.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Frantz, Brook
Street, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Frantz, Bethlehem, spent Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Gorden French,
with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon French,

. Mrs. Elmer Haring, Beaumont,
fell in the basement of her home
Sunday night, lacerating her left
leg which required eight stitches
to close.

day at a dinner party at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Tyson,

First Birthday Party
Little Brian Eugene Naugle, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Naugle,
Pikes Creek, was feted on his first
birthday, October 31, The occasion
was observed with cake and ice
cream and Hallowe'en decorations.
Brian’s sister, Brenda Lee, cele-
brated her birthday on October 24,

Susan Harding, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Harding, R. D. 1,
Falls, became the bride of Keith
Reeves, son of Rev. and Mrs. Tru-
man Reeves, Tunkhannock, RD 2.
Saturday, September 19th in North-
moreland Baptist Church at Cen-
termoreland.
Double ring ceremony was per-
formed by the father of the bride-!
groom. Soloist and organist
Mrs. Arla Charney.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a floor-length silk
peau gown fashioned with an Alen-'
con lace Empire style bodice, por-
trait neckline and long tapered
sleeves. The modified * bell skirt
was enhanced with motifs of lace
and pearls and sequins and had a
formal train. An open crown of
seed pearls and crystals held her
elbow length veil of illusion. She
carried a cascade bouquet of white

Mrs. Peggy Shupp, Tunkhannock,
matron of honor, wore a formal
montego peau silk gown styled with
a basque bodice, portrait neckline
and elbow shy sleeves. The modi-
fied bell skirt had unpressed pleats
on the hipline and a back bow de-
tail. She wore a matching petal
'cloche with bouffant veil and car-
ried a cascade bouquet of coral and
blue pom pons.

Mrs. T. M. B. Hicks, associate
editor of the Dallas Post is a pa-
tient in Geisinger Medical Center,
where she will undergo tests.
Janet Louise Harding
Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Hard-
ing, 2 Fenton Avenue, Hillcrest,
Binghamton, N. Y., formerly of
Noxen and Kingston, announce the
birth of a daughter, Janet Louise
on October 31 at Nesbitt Memorial
Hospital.
Mrs. Harding is the former Jean-
marie Weir, Kingston. The couple
also have another daughter, Jean-
nine Marie.
Elstons Have Son
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Elston, Dal-
las, RD 1; became the parents of
a seven pound, thirteen ounce son.
Timmy, Oct. 22, at Mercy Hospital.
There are five other children,
Cathy, Suzanne, Tommy, Molly, and
Peggy.
Mrs. Elston is the former Nancy
Moore, Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Elston
owns and operates his owi dairy
