His wife, the former Mary Dale,
died sixteen years ago. He was a

Surviving in addition his
daughter are two sons: Dale, Sha-

Has Untimely Death
Mrs. Rosanna D. Haines, 33, of
Sweet Valley, died Saturday morn-
ing at Geisinger Hospital, where
she had been a patient for Yves
months.
During her years in Sweet Val-
ley, she had been active in Cub
Scouts and in Maple Grove Church,
where she was secretary of the
Young Adults Sunday School class.
She was a 1950 graduate of Dan-
ville High School. |
Born in Catawissa, she was the
daughter of Alvin C. and Bertha
Ruddy Ryan. Upon marriage to
| George K. Haines in 1951, she lived
| for some timé in Kingston before
moving to Sweet Valley.
In her years in Sweet Valley, she
left her mark on the community. |
| Surviving in addition to her hus-
band are five children: George Jr.,
David, Joseph, Karen, and Paul;
brothers and sisters: Mrs. Minetta
Schanck, Mrs. Barbara Fox, Mrs.
Moydelle Keaner,- all ‘of Riverside;
| Alan Ryan, Riverside; Cameron Ry-

James Ryan, Danville; Calvin Ryan,

‘Buried At Ceasetown
Mrs. Laura E. Layou, 67, Cease-
town, died Wednesday morning at
Mercy. Hospital, where she had been
| admitted October 4 as a medical
| patient.
She was buried Saturday after-
noon in Ceasetown cemetery, follow-
ing services conducted by Rev.
James A. Garrahan from the Bron-
son funeral home.
A native of Ceasetown, she was
daughter of James and Minnie Bak-
er Cragle. Church affiliations were
with Ceasetown Baptist. Her hus- |
band, Harry died ten years ago.
She leaves ‘these sisters: Mrs.
