Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keiper,
Lynn, Pa, called on Mr. and Mrs.

Gwendolyn Morgan, so her mother,
Mrs. Frances Morgan, has informed
me that she is to return to Chil-
dren’s Hospital in Philadelphia,
July 30. They have hopes soon'to
be able to discontinue this yearly
routine.
Mrs. Sarah Schmidle returned to
her home from Nesbitt Hospital
after twenty days of tests and
medication. She wishes to ‘thank
all the wonderful people for their
cards gnd visits.”
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hoover, De-
munds Road, visited their brother-
in-law, Ed Mahoney, a patient in
Binghamton General Hospital. Mrs.
Hoover gave a blood donation for
him, Monday, July 29.
Mr. and Mrs. George Ryman,
Johnson City, were visitors of bro-
ther Wilson and family last week.
George is recuperating from a re-
cent operation. While here they
visited friends Myrtle Miller and
George Snyder and Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond Moore.
During their visit, a daughter,
Evelyn (Mrs. George Moore) of
Wyoming, was taken to Pittston
Hospital: by ambulance, suffering
from a hemorrhaging ulcer. She
was in a serious condition for a
few days but is improving now.
Miss Inez Ryman accompanied
Mrs. Richard ‘Potter and. children
last Saturday to visit Mrs. Potter's
parents in DuBois. They will bring
two of her daughters home from
their vacation at “Grandma’s’”
Sixteenth annual family reunion
of Peter B. Roushey will be held
Saturday, July 25 at Rummage’s
‘Grove, Hunlocks Creek, Picnic din-
ner at 2 p.m. Meeting and games
will follow. !

and children left Friday to spend
the weekend with sister Peggy

Afton Reese was a patient in
Nesbitt Hospital from last Friday
until Sunday, receiving medical
care and treatments.
Elwood Misson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. ‘Ralph Misson, Ransom Road,
left Saturday with the National
Guard, driving ‘a truck to Camp
Pickett, Virginia, where he will
receive two weeks tnaining.
Rinny, German police dog pet of
the Larry Kintzer family, wag
killed recently by a road speeder
as he chased a strange cat. Kint-
zers have bought a Silver German
police puppy, two months old,
which made the children happy
again.
Beverly Kintzer, a nurse in Long
recently and plans are made for
Lauren to have a two weeks vaca-
tion with sister Beverly.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Williams, Halt-
boro, Philadelphia, were in for one
week «visiting mother, Ass: Leona
Belles.
W.S.C.S. of East Dallas Church, |
will meet this afternoon ' (Thurs-
day). The quilters will be busy all
day and will be present for the
meeting. ;
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Piekett, Di-
anne and John, have returned
from a week’s vacation in Canada.
Mrs. Gladys = (Bert) Brace re-
turned to this area after spending
some time with daughters Barbara
in. Maryland and Beulah in New
Cumberland.

One thing to mar the day was
that someone killed a large rattle-
snake, over fifty inches long, which
they hung up for view.

Mr. and Mrs. Almon Altemus and
son Carl on a four day trip to At-
lantic (City.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spudis and
sister Beverly Dickson spent last
weekend at Asbury Park,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edwards and
daughter Shelly have returned to
their home in Bufialo, after visit-
ing his brother Curtis Edwards and
family the past week and a half.
Mr. and Mrs. John Carey Sr.
Demunds Road, have ,as visitors
Mrs. Carey’s sister and brother-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Philip MecCut-
chen, Clearwater, Florida, former
residents of Waverly, N. Y. They
plan to stay four or five weeks.
Four year old Jimmie, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Leonard Krispen, under-
went a hernia operation, Saturday,
in Nesbitt Hospital.
Mrs. Joan Wasserctt has re-
turned to her home, after being a
surgical patient in Genenal Hospital.
Mrs. Woodring Redmond, Orange,
informed me that her brother, Air
Force Second Class, Richard Arm-
strong, arrived home Friday from
Tripoli, Africa. Having served two
years there, he hag a leave until
August 24, when he will return to
Africa. - ‘Dickie,” (as I remember
him), celebrated his 20th., birth-
day, Monday July 13, by attending
a family dinner party at the home
of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo
Schultheis, Ransom.
David Morgan Jr., recently visited
his father and grandfather John
Morgan, for two weeks.
Edward (Sammy) Atkinson, cele-
brated his third birthday July, 4th.,
with Pete, Sammy, Popsie and

met in the church basement Tues-
day, July 7th. at 9:30 AM. Of-

Arthur, California, on June 18th.
