Ross Steinhauer, who has been
stationed in Bermuda with the Sea
Bees has returned home after com-
pleting his tour of duty. His wife
returned with ‘his parents, when
they visited the island several
months ago.

have recently returned to their

Machel Avenue, have returned after
visiting his relatives at Princess
Anne, Md., and touring Williams-
burg, Jamestown and other historic
points in Virginia.
Mrs. Lewis Rogers and Miss Doro-
thy Seibel, Wilkes Barre, have
moved to Harveys Lake for the
summer months. |
Miss Anne Peterson, Ontario, is
spending the summer at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Peterson, Norton Avenue. The
Petersons brought Anne home with
them in time. for the Library Auc-
Wy, after visiting in Canada. |

have returned from
Hollywood, Florida, where they at-
tended their annual family reunion.

hostess, and one of the members
was Mr. Dimmick’s sister, Pearl
Kitchen, from Milwaukee.
For the first time since the Li-
brary Auction started eighteen
years ago, Miss Frances Dorrance
will not be seated with the {Antiques
Committee. She is spending the
summer at Pocono Lake Preserve
with a friend of many years stand-
ing, Mrs. Howard Taylor.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hicks, Or-'
chard Park, N. Y., have purchased
a home on Country Club Road.
Mr. and Mrs. William Pace, Pi-
oneer Avenue, Shavertown will
move shortly to the West Coast.
Lee Wiegel, Indianapolis, is
spending the summer here. Mr. |
and Mrs. John Fluck, Jr., arrived
home last week from Fort Knox,
Kentucky, where he completed
three years in the Armed Forces.
They are visiting at the home of
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
Flu®%, Sr, Harveys Lake. The

Mrs. Anna Strazdus, East Dallas
was admitted to Nesbitt Hospital
on Monday.
Miss Lynn Hughes, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hughes, Beth-
lehem, hag been visiting her grand-
mother, Mrs. Lida Hughes and her
aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Weber, Mooretown.
Ruth Lozier, Sweet Valley, and
son, Earl, Dallas, spent two
months at Island Lake, Chicago.
Earl obtained employment at Is-
land Lake and moved with his
family to Illinois last week.

ton, former residents of Holly
Street, Trucksville, were recent
gos at Grassinger Resort, Monti-
cello, N. Y. They flew aboard the
Sunbeam Corporation plane. Mr.

is the former Daisy Fitzer, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fitzer,
Mrs. George Seelandt, Huntsville
Road, is visiting Mrs. William Wil-

Long Island. (She will
also spend a week with her sister-
in-law, Mrs. J. Waite in Brooklyn.
Mrs. Edith Daubert, (Cliffside
Avenue, has returned home after
being a patient at General Hospital.
M/Sgt. George Shortz, Wilming-
ton, Ohio, visited the Arja Browns,
Shavertown, and other relatives,
this past week. The Browns also
had as guests, Mrs. William Con-
nors and children, Holidaysburg,
and Mrs. Eith Phillips, Syracuse,
N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas ‘Herrison,
Providence, R. I, have. returned
home after spending a few days
last week with Mr. Harrison's
sister ‘and family, Mr. and Mrs.

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Lake
Silkworth, was the setting Satur-
day, June 6 for the wedding of Miss
Mary Sabo, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Leslie Sabo, Oak Hill, Dallas,
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Young, Lake
Silkwonth.
Rev. Frank Barlik performed the
double ring ceremony. Mrs. Thomas
Graham was organist and Miss Me-
lanie Graham, soloist.
The bride, who was éscorted by
her father wore a floor length gown
of silk organza styled with a bateau
neckline, elbow shy sleeves and
chapel train. Her five tiered veil
seed pearls and aurora borealis.
Her cascade bouquet was of white
carnations and baby breath and
centered with two white orchids.
Miss Karen Young, Lake Silk-
worth; sister of the bridegroom was
maid of honor and Miss Sally Sabo,
Allentown, cousin of the bride and
Miss Roberta Schultheis, Brooklyn,
bridesmaids.
All attendants were attired in
identical floor length gowns of
petal pink silk organza with match-
ing petal headpieces. They carried

Robert Ross served as best man
and ushers were Ted Gabel, Lake
Silkworth, and Kearney McQuillan,
Linden, N. J.
Mother of the bride selected a
romance blue dress of silk organza
with embroidered flowers. She wore
matching accessories and a corsage
of pink baby orchids. The bride-
groom's mother wore a three piece
beige suit’ of imported lace with
blue accessories and a pink baby
orchid corsage.
A dinner and reception followed
at the Gus Genetti Hotel, after
which the couple left on a wedding
trip to Niagara Falls and (Canada.
They will reside at 1066 Fair-
mount Avenue, Elizabéth, N. J.
Both are graduates of Lake-Leh-
man High School. Mrs. Young is
also a graduate of Wilkes Barre
Business College and was em-
ployed as legal secretary to Att.
Peter Paul Olszewski.
Mr. Young served three years
with the U.S. Army and is a chemi-
cal operator with Nopko (Chemical
Company, Linden, N. J.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hennebaul,
iSr., Parrish Street, Dallas, observed
their ‘twenty sixth anniversary,
June 25.
The couple’ were married in St.
Aloysius ‘Church, Wilkes-Barre, by
Father Raymond Mulligan. Maid of
honor was Catherine Crispell Baker
and best man was Charles Henne-
baul.
There are five children, Walter,
Jr., “Bud”, Trucksville, Barbara,
Fred, Peggy and Mary Jean at |

children, Patricia, Walter, III, and
Theresa Hennebaul, Trucksville.
Mrs. Hennebaul is the former
Mary Grimes, daughter of Mr.
Joseph ‘Grimes, Wilkes-Barre and
the late Mrs. Grimes.
Mr. Hennebaul is the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hennebaul,
Harveys Lake. He is employed with
Birth’s Service Station.

surprise birthday party July 4th at
the home of his daughter and son-

with a pink and blue umbrella form-
ing a circle to which each stream-
er was attached to many gifts. The
mother to be sat on a throne re-
ceiving the many gifts presented
to her by her niece and nephew,
Paula and Tommy Brodie and Lisa
Marie Holeman. |
Highlighting the catered meal
was a unique punch bowl fashioned
from a watermelon into the shape
of a basket from which hung grape
clusters. Fresh cherries and pine-
apple surrounded the centerpiece.
