Morris King of Shavertown is bu-
sy planting “trees at his place up
at’ Nordmont in - Sullivan County.
Mr. King has received 500 Norway
Spruce and 500 Japanese Larch
trees from the Department of For-
ests’ and Waters.
Mr. King also told me that he
has three gallons of maple syrup
so far this year during the tapping
season.
Two local Boy Scout Troops have
given me their total number of
rabbits trapped alive for redistri-
bution: by District Game Protector
Edward R. Godsky, Troop 231 with
Scoutmaster Mal Kitchen trapped
a total of 15 rabbits. Three scouts
of troop 232 with Scoutmaster John
Butler trapped 27 rabbits.
Bill Robbins, well-known conser-
vationist and sportsman, is busy as
a bee taking care of his bees and
doing “some fly tying. Bill receives
orders for flys from General Dwight
D. Eisenhower. Bill said that Gen-
eral Eisenhower has not yet sent
his order for this year. Conserva-
tionist Robbins does his fly tying
at his home in Trucksville.
