man, recently received congratula-
tions from Col. Gore F. Roberts,
Director of Materials at Offutt Air
Force Base, Omaha, Nebraska. Air-
man Martin and his Staff Sgt. re-
ceived the award for winning Of-
futt’s Outstanding Bench Stock
Award in the electrical shop of
Field Maintenance. They had keen
competition from the electric shop
of Civil Engineering squadron, Mis-
sile “B” site jet engine shop, 34th
Air Refueling Squadron, and the
twin engine branch, 3902nd Organ-
izational Maintenance Squadron.
Airman Martin ig the son of Mrs.
Mildred Martin, Sweet Valley, and
a Graduate of Lehman High School.
His picture appeared recently in the
Air Pulse, a monthly news paper
published at the base.
Men's Bible Class of the Metho-
dist Church gave a Ham and Egg
Supper recently, and it was a suc-

hamton and return to Mississippi
State University, where he resumed
his third and last year there.

foundatioh. In the near future,
additional roads will be ‘built
throughout this development, which |
is adjacent to Chase Manor.
State highway leading from
Chapel Hill Road to Larksville Cor-
ners is in very bad condition, with
numerous potholes, hazardous to
tires and safety of vehicles, especi-
ally during work on the Harveys
Lake Road. The Highway Depart-
ment should make some effort to
correct this dangerous situation.
