Kindergarten registration will be
held in the office of the Elemen-
tary Supervisor and kindergarten
rooms in the Westmoreland Elemen-
tary Scheol on April 4, 1964, from
8:00 am. to 12:30 p.m. Thope not
able to register during these hours
should contact us by phone and
make further arrangements.
Birth certificates and vaccination
certificates must accompany all reg-
istrants. > f
Children will be admitted if they |
are five years of age before Feb-
ruary 1, 1965.
| Resident children must register
before the start of the third week
of school.
Parents should be accompanied
by their children’ on registration
day, as the kindergarten rooms will
be set up to interest them.

On Friday, March 20, 1964, Bill
Sponseller, a junior, and Kenneth
Ellsworth, a senior, were chosen
to ~ represent Lake-Lehman High
School in the North League All-Star
Basketball team. On March 23, they
participated in the ‘Dream Games’
at Coughlin High School, in which
the Wyoming Valley All-Stars were
victorious by a slim margin of 2
points, ‘the score being 71-73. On
Wednesday, March 25, the team
ventured to Wilkes College Gymnas-
ium and played against the Cath-
olic All-Stars with the North League
coming out victorious.
A group of Lake-Lehman Letter-
men went to a basketball game at
Harrisburg on March 21. They were
transported in cars and were pu-
pervised by Mr. Maciak, Mr. Ed-
wards, and Mr. Zaleskas.

To Bed Cross Post
Mrs. Edward Gilroy, Shavertown,
has been elected Red Cross Alter-
nate Veterans Administration Hos-
pital Representative and has com-
pleted the necessary training at
Eastern Area Red Cross Head-
quarters at Alexandria, Virginia.
Mrs. Gilroy was among the first
Red Cross volunteers serving the
local Veterans Hospital, and also
Mountain blood collections.
Correction
It was Mrs. Guida Taylor, Trucks-
ville, and not Mrs. Guida Hoover,
now, deceased, who was a patient
in Geisinger Hospital. The Post re-
grets the error.

March 26. Entertainment was pro-

On Friday, the band members
went to Clark-Summit to see the
Region II State Band, Jay Ruckel
represented Lake-Lehman in the
concert. Chaperones were Mr. Mil-
iauskas, Miss Antonello and Mr.
Davenport.
‘Lake-Lehman students had no
school on Good Friday. Classes re-
sumed Monday. Easter vacation was
cut short due to the days taken off
during the snow storms this winter.
On March 23, students participat- |
ed in bus firedrills. All students
were required to exit by means of
the emergency door.
The “Crusader” has been entered
in the annual contest sponsored for
high school newspapers by the lo-
cal chapter of the National Mental
Health Association. “Crusader” staff
members have featured mental hy-
giene articles in five issues of the
paper.
