Leaves Vet's Hospital
Is In Greensboro, N. C.
Latest from Rev. Charles H. Frick
is that he is making such rapid
strides that he was released from
Veterans Hospital in New Orleans
on Saturday, to go to his son Pauls
home in Greensboro, N. C. for the
remaining weeks of his convales-
cence,
He was up on his feet for a few
minutes last week, and cautiously
seated in a wheelchair.
Tt is the opinion of the chief at
Vet’s Hospital, that within three
months of the time of his accident,
he will be able to assume his pastor-
al duties again in Benton, but prob-
ably for a time from a wheeichair.
The fractured “elvic bones ars mend:
ing without complications, and con-
cussion is a thing of the past.
His address for the next few
weeks will be: “608 Candlewood
Drive, Greensboro, N. «C., care of
Paul Frick.

THE DALLAS POST, THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 1964
Trucksville Free Methodist Church
To Change Its Location And Name
This coming Sunday will be the
last day spent in the old church in
for Trucksville Free
Methodists. :
On Sunday, March 15, the congre-
gation will change its name as well
as its location.
Rev. Grove Armstrong, pastor, will
shepherd his flock to the new ed-
ifice on Carverton Road, within ea-
sy distance of the new Frances Slo-
cum State Park. The new name
will be Park Neighborhood - Free
Methodist Church.
This Sunday, Rev. Armstrong
plans to build his sermons about
the old and the new churches. Sun-
day morning he will preach on
“What Mean These Stones?” a
backward glance at the building
which the congregation is selling in
order to keep step with progress.
Sunday evening ‘the sermon will
be on “Launch Out Into the Deep”,
a hopeful prevue of what is to come
in the future, with a vastly ex-
panded program as a goal.
The following Sunday, the day of
the -hegira, sermon topics will be
“The Glory of the Temple,” and in
the evening, “A Living Soul.”
The old edifice in central Trucks-
ville has not yet found a purchaer
for building or grounds.
The new biulding, designed to ac-
commodate future expansion, is long
and low, with adequate parking
space. It commands a spectacular
view from its heights on Carverton
Road.
Rev. Armstrong foresees an in-
flux of new residents in the area,
attracted by the Francis Slocum de-
velopment. Fourteen new members
will join the church March 15.
Formal dedication services will
shortly be scheduled.
