By Meyers High, 26-17
Lake-Lehman came out of the
match against Meyers Saturday
night beaten and with 1 loss on its
record. Both teams went to the
mats unbeaten, 2-0.
The Mohawk’s Paul Wilfe suf-
fered his first loss to J. Sorber in
154 class, 11-2. Ken Jones, defend-
ing district champ and Drew Yea-
ger, both of Meyers, decisioned their
men to remain unbeaten.

Dallas Wrestlers To Meet Meyers Saturday

Prokopchak will probably go to the mats against Drew Yeager
in the Dallas-Meyers meet on Wrestling Booster Night, Saturday,
at Dallas Senior High School.

Dallas Loses To Sailors;
Dallas suffered another loss Tues-
day night when the Swoyersville
cagers outscored them in the con-
test at King’s gym, 84-40.
The Sailors had all but one of
their boys scoring, Holup leading
with 17, Poostay tossing in 15 and
Yurko and Sieminski, 13 each. Mar-
tin led the Mountaineers with 18
and Sinicrope tallied 10.

Knights Lose To Cowboys
Dallas Mountaineers bowed to
Wilkes-Barre Township cagers Fri-
day night. The score was 89-63,
thanks to some good rebounding
and fine scoring for Wilkes-Barre
by Shumonski and Honnis, Polak-
oski and Gavis. Polakoski scored 20
points, 15 in the last period; Gavis
had 18. Martin led Dallas with 14;
Mokychic had 11; Sinicrope, Noon
i and Sosik, 10 each.
Dallas tried 25 fouls and Town-
ship 41.
Lake-Lehman was defeated by
West Wyoming, 49-47, losing the
battle in the last 10 seconds of the
game.
The Knights led at the end of
the first quarter by one point. They
outscored the Cowboys by 4 in the
next period, finishing at half, 25-20.
West Wyoming did some catching
up in the third, outscoring Lake-
Lehman by 3 points and the teams
were tied 47 each when, Schultz,
beating the buzzer by seconds,
made the basket that gave the Cow-
boys the game. Schutlz led West
Wyoming with 18 points and Ran-
dazzo had 13. Ellsworth had 21 for

Dallas and GAR matmen Saturday
night at Dallas High School. Dallas
defeated the visitors, 25-21 in a con-
test that kept the crowd on its feet
most of the time.
Dallas took the lead on a fast
pin in the first period by Lee Isaac
in 95 class and held it until Reese |
Finn, 127, lost to Robert DeLuca,
GAR, which tied the score 9-9. Dal-
las came right back with two de- |
