Generous Santa
The American Legion Annual
Children’s Christmas Party was held
December 21, with about 300 little
guests of the Back Mountain area
in attendance. Santa Claus. arrived
on the Fire Truck, and a jolly clown
also provided entertainment.
A stocking filled with fruit and
candy was given each child. Weiners
and soda were served.
On Christmas Eve,
the annual
| Christmas baskets were distributed
to shut ins of the Post, along with
toys for needy local families whom
the Post knew about.
Past Commanders Tom Reese and
Edward Buckley who have been go-
ing around on Christmas Eve for
the last 8 years visiting with bas-
kets, and toys were aided this year
by the following: Bernard McDer-
mott, Dick Fuller, Roland Spencer,
and Curtis Bynon.
The “.egion this year in addition
to fruit baskets for member shut-
ins, also gave their wives poinset-
tias donated by Tom Tobin, Forty
Fort.

on Monday evening. December 30.
‘The Marks home was beautifully
decorated with holly and candles.
