The eve- ning’s play featured some good ac- tion, encouraged by a larger and more enthusiastic crowd than in recent weeks. Again we would like to encourage more Back Mountain residents to attend the games. Trucksville vs East Dallas Trucksville’s win over East Dallas was featured by a big second half rally. The East Dallas quintet held a 30 to 24 half-time lead with Evans and Tencza combining for 22 of the 30 \points prior td intermission. In the second half, Trucksville came up with 50 points, led by Bill Oney with 19 on 9 field goals and a foul. This was by far the biggest point output for any team in one half this season. Early Christmas morning, when I was so far the only one dressed, Marjorie Seiple called to ask if I could come down to help identify a very tame bird eating seed on their patio. I got into the car and went, and stealthily crept up their steps. The bird wasn’t there then, but I waited in the kitchen until ke finally did come ‘o eat. It was, to my surprise, a Towhee. I didn’t wonder she was excited, for she had never seen one. They used to be on our feeder back in the summer. Biack back, white undergide, and rcbin-redbreast color in front.’ Clayton Gray was on the cinder truck the other day when the frozen cinders slid down and a chunk of them scraved his leg, a long angry-lookinz scrape. So he’s home letting the air get to it with its natural healing properties. I thinl. he should be weiring a pant- and-a-half for the occasion I noticed Joan Dymond (Clayt’s daughter whom 7 phoned for in- formation about ha: father) had a hoarse throat when she talked. She pays she always gets sick with a cold or something around Christmas time. The Dymonds have a yard of interests over there since they got a redwood bird feeder with ‘trading stamps. Grosbeaks— which Joan thought at first must be oversized locusts, the way they gobbled down the seeds, have come like they do here, hungry and meaning to eat. Then there's bluejay who comes and scares away other (birds. ORANGE ‘A Christmas card from Nora Dy- mond and sister Fannie told that they are visiting Lee Dymonds’ at Allentown for Christmas.
