treal public schools, arrived yester-
day to spend the holidays with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peter-

stopped en route home in New York
City to spend the weekend with her
brother Joe.
Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Marks and
family, Lehman, will spend Christ-
mas at Spencerport, N. Y., visiting
their daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Shipman Jr. and
family.

Northrup, all Back Mountain girls,
are being honored at a number of
dances and teas in the Valley dur-
ing the holidays. Lindsey Harvey,
Kingston, granddaughter of John
Blackman is also in the group.

Ladies’ Auxiliary of Franklin
Township Hose Company, held
its annual Christmas partv in the
home of Mrs. Emeret Franklin,
Shavertown, Monday evening.
Games were played, carols sung,
and gifts exchanged after a de-
licious, dinner.

Announce Birth
Mr. and Mrs. Elias Miller, RD. 1,
Dallas, became parents of an eight
pound five ounce son, Thomas
John David, December 16 at Nes-
bitt Hospital. There are five other
children, Charles, sixteen, Kenny,
fourteen, Bobby, twelve, Connie,
nine, and Barbara Ann, five. Mrs.
Miller is the former Minnie Cool-
baugh, Trucksville. Mr. Miller has

First Christmas Party
Back Mountain Hammond Organ
Society held, its’ first annual Christ-
mas party December 16, at the
Lehman Fire Hall.
Guests were greeted with organ
musi¢, club president, Burl Up-
dyke dt the console. The group
then sang carols, accompanied by
Virginia Swanson, vice president.
Soloist, Kenneth Miller honored
the gathering with “Silent Night”.
Several games were played after
which a buffet style lunch was
served. The door prize, a book of
Christmas music, was won by Mrs,
Ethel Gelsleichter. Arthur Engler
entertained with card tricks Tke
Hammond organ was supriied by
Keller Irving Co., Scranton.
Next regular meeting will be held
January 8, at the home of Kenneth
Miller, Oakdale.

Thanksgiving Babies
Mrs. Gilbert Ide, Idetown, reports
two Thanksgiving babies next door
to her, one of them a grandchild
weighing eight pounds eleven oun-
ces.
Frank David is the second son
born fo Mr. and Mrs. David Ide.
He has a brother Wayne Bryan, two
years old. His mother is the former
Grace Thomas of Kingston.
The other Thanksgiving baby is
a little girl, Sharon Marie, born to
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Pimm. Sharon
Marie has a big sister Joyce, five
years old.

Kenipsville ‘High School, Virginia
Beach, and attended the Norfolk
College of William and Mary. He
is manager and co-owner of thé
H & H Car Wash, Virginia Beach,
Va.
No date has been set for the

Morgans Have Daughter
Mr. and Mrs. William Morgan,
R. D. 1, Dallas, announce the birth
of a six pound nine ounce daugh-
ter, Wendy, December 18 at Gen-
eral Hospital. There is another
son, Chipper, two. Mrs. Morgan ‘is
the former Mary Ann Evans, Dal-

Have Christmas Party
Monthly card club met at the
home of Mrs. Jesse Turner, Wel-
lington Ave., Dallas, Tuesday eve-
ning, for their Christmas party.
Instead of the usual card game,
Christmas decorations were made.
Centerpiece was a tree made of
pine cones and red ornaments. Gifts
were exchanged.

A seven pound three ounce
daughter, Tracy Marie, was born
to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cross,
Highland Drive, Trucksville. There
are three sons, Neil, six, Timothy,
