day furlough after basic training
at Fort Jackson, S. C.
He will be sent to Fort Carson,

The Christmas dance was really
a big success. Everyone seemed
to enjoy himself and all left the
dance rather starry-eyed.

Master of Masons in Pennsylvania
‘A retired banker and buginess-
man, was r ecently installed as
Grand Master of the Grand Lodge
of Free and Accepted Masons of
Pennsylvania. :
The ancient installation cere-
mony was held at the Annual Com-
munication of Grand Lodge in Ma-
sonic Temple, Philadelphia.
Mr. Herold; who has dedicated
many years to free masonry, will
head approximately 258,000 Penn-
| sylvania Masons in 606 Masonic
: Lodges throughout the state.
He retired in 1961 as vice pry
ident and director of Butler Sav-
ings and Trust Company after 47
years of service, and serves on the
Advisory Committee of the Butled
Office of Commonwealth Bank and
Trust Company of Piccsburgi.
