the bowling news.
Crown Major League
Bill Amos led the Crown Ma-
jor League as he toppled 628
: inclduding 202 - 246 games.
Charlie Williams piled up 208-
215 (610) and Al Ciccarelli roll-
ed 202.- 291 - 201 (616).

with 26 and Monk’s went to fifth
with 257%.

‘Stonehurst Cottages and Bolton’s
Diner were tied in first place on
the fourteenth with 36 points each.

Bmong Opening Day Successes
.
A nephew of Edwin and William Rhodes, Harveys Lake, who
hunts every year with his uncles near Egglestons at Vernon, Ralph
Flowers, Edwardsville, bagged this nice 9-point buck around 8 Mon-
day morning.
The buck weighed 190 pounds after dressing.
Other local success stories were: Carl German, Demunds, hunt-
ing on own property, 7:45 opening day, got a 4 point, 125 pound buck.
Patrick Brown, hunting with Walter Davis Jr. and Michael Brown,
got a 7-pointer at Bear Creek at 1:15 opening day. .
Twelve-year-old Bobby Samanus, East Dallas, is reported to have
got a thirteen point buck Tuesday
Dick Weidner, Centermoreland, shot a spiker near the village
Monday. ? :
Two deer for a party of eleven hunting at Ganoga Lake, shot by
Arch ‘Austin, and Edgar Hughes, Jr. They were able to negotiate
the four-hour traffic jam on Route 118 because they traveled by
jeep.
Frank Nimick, who resides with the Bert Coons family over
weekends, bagged an eight-point buck at Carverton Monday.
An East Dallas boy, Dick Strazdus, now living in Ashley, shot
a three-pointer above Noxen at 8:15 Monday.
James Knecht, Kunkle, shot an 8 point buck in Susquehanna
County.
David Finn, 13, Harveys Lake, shot a 3 point buck weighing 120
pounds at Lovelton Monday afternoon. He was accompanied by,
his father, Reese Finn, and brothers, but was alone when he made
the kill. :
