seniors graduating’ in January 1964
may apply for the Coast Guard
Officer Candidate School class start-
ing February 9, 1964.
Upon completion of 17 weeks
training, graduates will be commis-
sioned Ensign in’ the U. iS. Coast
Guard Reserve, Those who qualify
may fulfill their military obligation

For Raymond Keiper
Services for Raymond A. Keiper,
former resident of Noxen, are sched-
uled for Saturday afternoon at 2
from the Bronson Funeral Home,
where Rev. Warren Hathaway, pas-
tor of Noxen Independent Bible
Church, will officiate. Burial will
be in Orcutt Cemetery. Friends
may call Friday evening.
Mr. Keiper, 52, not in rugged
health’ since being wounded in
World War II, died in Coatesville
Veterans Hospital early Tuesday
morning.
Mr. Keiper holds several medals
for service in Africa, including the
Purple Heart and an Oak-Leaf
Cluster. For a time he worked

position at McGuire Air Force Base,
New Jersey.
His parents are Mr. and Mys.
Harry Keiper, Noxen. His wife, the
former Josephine Higgins, Harveys
Lake, died in 1943.
In addition to his parents, he is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sally
Sabatini, and two granddaughters,
of Levittown, Pa.; a sister, Mrs.
Beulah McCarty, Bristol; and a
brother Clayton, Noxen.

Glen, has returned from Weisbaden,
Germany, where she was the guest
of her son-in-law and daughter,

and daughters, Patricia, Mary Ann
and Alberta. The trip was made
by T.W. A. Jet. She visited many
points of interest in Germany and
also stopped in Zurich, Switzer-
