the Science Talent Institute and

Scholarships and Awards. Scholar-
ship opportunities and other educa-
tional assistance also come ‘to
those named in the Honor Group.
Senior students are urged to leave
their names in the high school
guidance office and copies of the
examination will then be ordered
for these students. A student
should be in the top 15% of the
class to qualify for this test. The
deadline is November 27 for appli-
cations,
Ithaca College announces that
Drama Scholarship Auditions will
be held at the college on Saturday,
December 14, 1963. Students wish-
ing to participate should write to
George R. Hoerner, Chairman, De-
partment of Drama and Speech,
Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York.
The scholarships range from $1400
to $400.

Carl Roskoski Is
Seriously TI] a
Carl Roskopki, fourteen year old
son of Mr. and Mrs. John Roskoski,
Chase Road, is seriously ill, a vic-
tim of rhuematoid arthritis. A mem-
ber of the freshman class of Lake-
Lehman high school, Carl was
stricken ill October 12 and was ad-
mitted to Nanticoke State Hospital.
He has since been transferred to
Valley Forge General Hospital, Val-
ley Forge, Pa., where he is in Ward
6-A, He will be in the hospital
several months, and cards and notes
from classmates and friends will be
greatly appreciated. Carl has three
sisters, Karen, Shirley, and Erica.

Carl Daubert, Jr., son of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Daubert, Dallas, who is
on a tour of duty with the U.S.
Navy, in Japan, had a surprise, re-
cently, when he met a buddy from
home, Kenton Getty. The Gettys
are former residents of Dallas, now
living in Mezeppa, Pa. Kenton, also
serving with the Navy, plans 40 be
in Japan, thre weeks and then go
to San Diego. Carl expects to go
to Hong Kong, the early part of ’64,
then to Phillipines, Okinawa, Korea,
Thailand and perhaps South , Viet
Nam.
