con team was four to two. The
first game Tunkhannock won over
Dallas 7 to 6. On the next game
Dallas beat Luzerne 20 to 6. Then
Tunkhannock beat Dallas again 12
24 to 14 and Plymouth 25 to 7.
In the last game Dallas beat Lu-
zerhe 18 to 13.
The season scores for the eighth
grade were Dallas 13, Tunkhannock
0, Dallas 27 - Lakeland 6, Tunkhan-
nock 14, Dallas 6. The season’s
record was two to ome.

* The Senior Class met last Friday
to discuss dues, dances and play
tickets.
SENIOR COMMITTEE OF YEAR-
BOOK: The senior ' committee met
to discuss the manner in which in-
dividual paragraphs, adjoining pic-
tures, would be set up.
TROPHY WINNER: A beautiful
trophy was presented to David
Ryan, senior, as second place win-
ner in a weight-lifting contest held
at Forty Fort High School on
November 16th. The score was
tied, but because David was of
heavier body weight, he was clapsi-
fied in seeond place.
JUNIOR MISS: Beverly Eck, Jun-
ior Miss of Wyoming Valley, is
making preparations for a very ex-
citing week's stay at Reading,
Pennsylvania. There, Beverly com-
petes state-wise. :

DATESETTER: Two pert seniors
of Dallas represented our school in |
the Miss Datesetter Contest. They
were Pat Whalen. and Judith Ross.
Both girls were chogen as finalists.
Pat and Judi modeled semi-formal
gowns in the Lazarus Department
Store. Each contestant submitted
an essay and these were judged by
a professional committee and. the
finalists were notified November
14th. Congratulations girls!
KEY CLUB: The Key Club is
holding a hayride on November
30th for members and their dates.
Reservations are to be made with
Frank Wadas or Richard Love’ by
November 25th. Members attend-
ing are to meet at the High iSchool
at 6:30.
CLOTHING DRIVE: The Keyettes
and Key Club are aiding in the an-
nual clothing drive, which is a com-
munity project.

Last Friday's dance was really a
lot of fun. The disk jockey kept
everything going at a fast pace and
made the dance a big success.
Thanks to the P. T. A. for the
swinging good time.
On Monday Miss Vas Korlis came
to schooi wn. what we thought was
the driver training car. Later we |
found out that the sign read, “Just
Married.” Miss Vas Korlis is now
Mrs. Sam Cooper. We wish them:
happiness. :
On Wednesday, we had an assem-
bly. A movie entitled “The Dew
Line” was shown. It concerned the
radar installations along the Arctic
Circle,
Last week ur seventh grade stu-
dents ran around like a bunch of
scared mice. Their achievement
tests were given during the week.
We are happy to see Mr. Bro-
minski back in school during the
afternoons. Up until now he was
spending his ‘afternoons on the Se-
ior High football field.
Everyone is ‘really elated this
week over the prospect of a two
day vacation. We wish everyone a
Happy Thanksgiving.
The Dallas Junior High football
| team finished its season by losing
Dining Hall from 10:00 to 10:30. A
welcome ,address, Chapel service,
luncheon, . campus tour, and a
panel discussion will be the agenda
for the day.- Anyone interested in
attending this conference should

GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT
The School of Nursing in Hospital
of The University of Pennsylvania
is awarding ten Thomas B. McCabe
Achievement Awards annually to
students entering the school. The
purpose is to give recognition to
students; = regardless of financial
need, who possess outstanding abil-
ity, have an .interest il nursing as
a career and have 'demonstrated
outstanding “achievement in high
school and the community. Each
award will be in the amount of
$600 to be allocated over three
vears of training.
