Mrs. Race was born and raised in Plymouth, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kerr. She married William Hier on April 15, 1902 in St. Clements Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre, Rev. Stone officiating, Mr. Hier died on Jan. 21, 1932. She married Willard Race on December 21, 1940 at his home at Kunkle. He passed away on August 5, 1952. She has 2 ¢hild- ren.
