Mrs. H. Byron Harris, Warden
Avenue, Trucksville, has been trans-
ferred from University of Penn-
sylvania Hospital to General Hos-
pital, Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Jobes, with
daughter Terri, visited Mr. and Mrs.
George Landon in Kunkle last week,
returning to their home in Trenton,
N. J. on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kreidler,

the weekend in New Haven, Conn.,
where they visited the former's
father, Thomas Kreidler, Sr., form-
erly of Dallas who has been a
patient for ‘the past three weeks
at the Grace Memorial Hospital,

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis LaBar have
moved from Exeter to Dallas, where
they have purchased the Stoeckel
home on Huntsville Road. Their for-
mer home was destroyed by fire
two days after they moved.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lewis, Hun-
lock’s Creek, moved the past week-
end to Flushing, Long Island, where
they will now make their home.

Valley was the setting Saturday,
October 12, for the nuptial cere-
mony which united Jeanette Eileen
Shaw, daughter “of Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond G. Shaw, Sweet Valley
and William Wynn Quick, son of |
Mrs. Lois Albertson, Bloomsburg
RD. ' 5, and Freeman Quick, Sr.
Plymouth. -
The double ring ceremony was
performed by Pastor B. Kirby Jones.
Mrs. Kay Altemus, sister of the
bride was soloist, and Mrs. Cletus
Holcomb, Jr., organist.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a floor length gown
of ‘Alencon lace over taffeta, with |
fitted bodice, long sleeves, tapered
at the wrist, and scalloped neckline
trimmed with rhinestone settings.
Her bouffant skirt featured a hoop
and train which was drawn into a
bustle after the ceremony. Her
tiered veil of French illusion fell
from a crown of rhinestones and
she carried a swing bouquet of car-
nations, centered with a corsage.

the bride and Judy Shaw, sister of
the bride. Their identical gowns
were of pink taffeta, with fitted
bodice and scoop neckline. The
bouffant skirts were ballerina length
and they wore small matching veils
and carried bouquets. of blue car-
nations.
Flower girls were Francine Alte-
mus and Gail Shaw, nieces of the
bride. They wore nylon dresses
featuring full skirts with Francine
|in peach. Gail in blue. Timothy
Shaw, Jr. nephew of the bride, was
ring bearer.
Sonny Stout, Berwick, served as
best man, Ushers were Freeman
Quick, Jr. Bloomsburg and Wilbur
Shaw, Sweet Valley.
A reception for one hundred
guests followed the ceremony and
was held in the church hall.
Mrs. Quick attended Lake-Leh-
man School. Mr. Quick attended
Northwest Jointure High School and
is presently employed at the Nes-
copeck Lumber Co. They are resid-
ing at Bloomsburg, R.D. 5.
A pre-nuptial shower was given
by Lee Roese.

members voted Tuesday to meet
five times a year and amend the by-
laws accordingly. :
Mrs. Paul Gross presided. Sec-
retary’s report was given by Mrs.
Homer Moyer and treasurer's re-
port by Mrs, Fred Howell in the
absence of Mrs. Willard Seaman.
Mrs. William Cutten and Mrs. Ed-
ward F. Burke were introduced as

membership at 222 and Mrs. War-
ren Unger reported on book selec-
tions.

‘At Farewell Party

live in Shavertown will be moving
to Rochester in a few days. High-

After a horse back ride the girls

lunch, and then to Milbrose to set

vice as laundress, head laun-
dress at Nesbitt hospital came to

her duties there November 23, 1929,
Her fellow workers surprised her
with a farewell party at her home,
Sunday evening October 13. Mrs.
Wandall celebrated her 79th birth-
day in September.
As a token of appreciation, she

scribed with the words, ‘Leona |
Wandall 1929-1963. On the other |

ers.
