Our Lady of Victory Church, Har-
vey's Lake was the setting for the
irecent wedding of Miss Janice E.
Rinken, R.N., daughter of Mrs. Viv-
ian Rinken, Idetown and the late
Alexander Rinken, ‘to Melvin R.
Congdon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Congdon, Demunds Road, Dallas.

Miss Judy Neary, R.N., Scranton,
was maid of honor. Miss Debra Rin-
ken was flower girl for her sister.
Robert Rukstalis was best man.
Ushers were Robert Rinken, cousin
of the bride, and Kenneth Kocher.
Given in marriage by her uncle,
Clarence Rinken, the bride wore a
white gown’ in silk organza over
tissue taffeta, fashioned with a scol-
loped chantilly lace portrait neck-
line with long, tapered sleeves. The
molded bodice was fitted to a slim
waistline accenting a gracious skirt
enhanced in lace motifs extending
into a circular sweep train.
Her veil of imported silk illu-
sion was fashioned in medallion
tiers and styled from a lace crown
embellished with seed pearls and
crystals. She carried a swing bou-
quet of white roses and ivy and wore
a diamond and pearl pendent, a
gift of the bridegroom.
Her maid of honor, Miss Judy
Neary, R. N., wore a gown of white
an off the shoulder neckline, fitted ,
crispy embroidered organza over!
heavenly blue silk taffetta styled in’
to an empire bodice, and * shirreds
midriff waistline in a modified bell-
shaped waltz length gkirt.
[She wore a heavenly blue picture
hat with dainty floral sprays and
back bow with flowing satin stream-
ers and carried a swing bouquet -of
pink and white carnations and ivy.
The flower girl, Debra Rinken,
sister of the bride, wore a dress of
white imported pure ‘silk’ organza
over pink taffeta, styled in a tight-
fitting bodice with Swiss applique
flowers around the waist, puffed
sleeves and a large Oliver collar.
She wore a pillbox hat featuring
pink and white flowers and stream-
ers. She carried a miniature swing |
bouquet of blue ‘and white carna-
tions and ivy.
" The attendants wore sterling sil-
ver , charm bracelets, - gifts of the
bride.
An” afternoon reception was held
‘at Q’Connell’s Twin Lakes, Harveys
Lake, after which the couple left on
a motor trip to California. For trav-
eling the bride wore a brown and
white silk suit, white accessories,
and a corsage of white carnations.
The bride is a graduate of Lake-
| Lehman Area High School and Mer-
cy Hospital. School of = Nursing,
Scranton, Pa. She is a member of
"the nursing staff of Mercy Hospitah
| Wilkes-Barre.
The bridegroom is a graduate
of Kingston High: School and
served four years with the United
States Air Force. He is in business
with his father,

Mr. and Mrs. Russell H. Williams,
Sr., 74 Shaver Avenue, Shavertown,
observing their 50th wedding anni-
versary on October 29th will be
honored at an Open House at their
home, Sunday afternoon and eve-
ning.
The couple were married at the
home of the bride's aunt and uncle,
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Belford, Kings-
ton, by the Rev. Edwin Aubrey, pas-
tor of Emmanuel Baptist Church,
Edwardsville.

mour Company for twenty years,
Mr. Williams and his wife moved
to Shavertown nearly eight years
ago and for a time operated a res-
taurant -nearby.
Both are in good health and are
looking forward to their anniver-
sary celebration.
There are two children, Mrs. Wil-
bur Lawry, Flushing, L. I. and Rus-
sell, Jr., Fernbrook. There are also
four grandchildren.

of honor. Laurie Burnside, Kings-
