Lester Moss has been very ill at
his home on Demunds Road.
There was an all day quilting
at the home of Mrs. Harry Martin
last Thursday. A covered dish
luncheon was enjoyed, followed by
the regular monthly meeting of the
WSCS.

United Nations Tour
Scheduled Nov. 11
The Wyoming Council of Churches
is sponsoring a United Nations Sem-
inar, Monday, November 11.
Martz busses will leave the park-
ing lot at Shavertown Methodist
Church at 5:30 a.m. and will arrive
at U.N. Headquarters at 10 that
morning.
A ‘guided tour will begin at 10:30
and luncheon will be served in the
Delegates Dining Room at 11:45.
A special briefing will take place
in the Church Center of the United
Nations at 1:15 p.m., and tickets
provided for attendance at various
meetings of the international or-

Robert Jewell, speech Therapist,
will speak Tuesday night to mem-
bers of Westmoreland elementary
PTA. Mrs. Marshall Rumbaugh,
hospitality chairman, says second-
grade mothers will serve refresh-
ments.
A sale of Christmas candy is the
current project for raising of funds
to finance the sixth grade trip to
Philadelphia in the spring. Orders
for candy must be returned to the
school by November 15.
