Chris Dawe celebrated his minth
birthday on Saturday with a party
at his home. Present were Gary
Baker, Douglas Ehret, Michael Hosh,
Herbert Mayer, Paul Adamshick,
Dale Sutton, Jack Vivian, Michael
Schnell and James Cook. Chris is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Dawe.
Alfred Simms amd Grandson
Chris Dawe whose birthdays fall on
the same day were also entertained
at a family birthday dinner on Sun-
day.
Sunday School Department of
Lehman Methodist Church will pre-
sent a short Promotion Day pro-
gram on Sept. 29th, during the
opening of Sunday School. All par-
ents and friemds are invited.
Township ' supervisors, auditors
and tax collectors had their county
convention inthe fire hall Thurs-
day Sept. 19th, all day. Auxiliary
of the Fire Company served a roast
beef dinner to about 100.
Auxiliary will meet in the fire
hall Monday evening Sept. 23rd.
Dorothy Baker will preside at the
meeting. There will be installation

of the Countryside. '

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nuss have
returned from a camping and boat-
img trip with their son Ron in
Western Maryland at Deep Creek
Lake. Ron discovered this lovely
spot while flying over the area with
the Air wing of the Maryland Na-
tional Guard.

brated their 24th wedding anniver-
sary September 18, in their home.
It was a surprise given by their
children amd son-in-law Mr. and
Mrs. Howard Smith and son Lee.

Grace Ide, Mrs. Ethel Johnson, Mr.
and Mrs. Lynn Johnson and family.
Mr. and Mrs. William Drabick
entertained the Men’s Bible Class
in their home Thursday evening.
Mrs. Edward Omcay and Mrs. Madge
Barnes assisted in serving. There
{was a short business meeting,
{| Robert Disque presiding.
District meeting of W.C.T.U. was
held: with a covered dish luncheon
at the Outlet Free Methodist
Church Parsomage. There was in-
stullation of officers in the church.
Mrs. Russell Hoover presided in the
business meeting.

entered the freshman class of Col-
lege Misericordia this week. Both
are graduates of Lake-Lehman High
School.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Ray,
Karla, Graceanne and Brook; their
guests, Mr. amd Mrs. Fred J. Gra-
ham, Meridian, Mississippi; were
dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs.
James Sommers, Williamsport,
Tuesday evening. Three-year-old
Brook, accompanied by his father,
and uncle Fred, emjoyed his first
airplane jaunt last week.

Earl Hummel at East Brunswick,
Mr. and Mrs, James Garey, in Balti-
more.
Arthur Dale Wagner, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Dale Wagner of Arlington,
Va., was baptized at the Alderson
Methodist Church on Sunday. Mr.
and Mrs. Wagner and som have
been spending their vacation with
his parents at East Dallas, and with
her paremts Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Wagner at Harveys Lake.
Lina Garinger left on Friday with
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Austin, War-
ren Center, to spend the winter in
Florida.

George Hunsinger, Schnectady,
spemt the weekend with their par-
ents Mr. and Mrs. Amos Hunsinger.

to South Mountain on Sunday.
They saw six deer and a bear and
walked to within 60 feet of the
creature and had him standing up
