A /2C William MacMillan attained
his majority at David Montham Air
Force Base in Arizona, celebrating
his twenty-first birthday on Mon-
day. T
The Dallas Post and his former
schoclmates of Lake-Lehman 1960,
wish him a belated happy birthday.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Mac-
Millan, Maple Street, Noxen, he was
on the basketball team in high
school, and played trumpet in the
band for four years.
After taking one year of college
work at Penn State Extension, he
enlisted in the Air Corps, taking
basic at Lackland AFB in Texas;
working at Shepherd Field on mis-
sile maintenance, ‘and continuing
with maintenance at Montham, to
which he was transferred in Jan-
uary. He is an expert on Titan
missiles. » :
Mrs. Claude Stouffer, Pensacola,
Fla., for a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dolbear be-
gan her duties this week as instruc-
tor in business education at Wilkes

‘Heads Legion Auxiliary
Lehman Woman
Lehman Woman's Club held its
first meeting of the club year at
the Lehman Fire Hall with Mrs.
Mark Grimm presiding.
Mrs. Edward Skalicky, chairman
of Community Improvement pro-
gram, announced the club project
will be aiding needy families in the
Lehman area. Mrs. Skalicky would
appreciate receiving shoes and cloth-
ing that has been washed, ironed,
and mended for distribution to these
families. Clothing for children is
most in demand.
Mrs. Joseph: Chipola, publicity
chairman, announced that three of
the club members will appear on a
local woman's television program
on September 26. Door prizes col-
lected from all over the
States will be displayed on this
program and the custom-made hat
will ‘also be shown.
The American Home and Fine
Arts committee, under the guidance
of Mrs. Thomas Hillyer, will be a
very active group this year, meeting
at Mrs. Hillyer's home on the third
Wednesday night of each month to
hold discussion groups and make
small articles to be distributed to
worthy institutions throughout the
community.

's Club Plan
A complete report was given by
Mrs. Jack Palmer on the upcoming
fashion show.
Mrs. Grimm reported that Mrs.
Paul Henritzy and Mrs. Edward
Mickey represented the ‘Lehman
club at the Care Tag Day booth in
the Back Mountain shopping center,
collecting enough to supply 24 Ili-
teracy kits for foreign countries. A
donation was made to UNICEF. The
club will sponsor a Hallmark Art
Contest at a ‘later date. Support
will be given to the General Fed-
eration of Women’s Clubs project to
“Strengthen the Arm of Liberty”
and to the state project sponsoring
the Flossie Wagner Sanford Scholar-
ship Loan Fund.
Mrs. Edward Powell, program
chairman, introduced Dr. Jacobs as
the speaker for the evening, who
spoke on Sabin vaccine.
Hostesses for the evening were:
Mrs. Paul Dorris, chairman; Mrs.
Edward Skalicky, Mrs. James
Kenny, and Mrs. Charles: Bednar.
Guests were Mrs. Ernest King,
Arthur Solomon, and Mrs, William
Simms. New members welcomed
were: Mrs. Willia Geiger, Mrs. John
Fritz, Mrs. Edmund McGrath, and
Mrs. C. F. Addison.

Holds Reunion
Class of 1958, Lehman High
School held its first reunion August
31 at Kings’ Inn, Kingston.
A short business meeting follow-
ed the buffet dinner and prizes
were awarded.

Ruditions Friday For
Woman's Club Minstrel
Auditions for the fall minstrel
show staged by Dallas Senior and
Junior Woman's Clubs will be held
{ at the Library Annex Friday night
at 8. Adults with dancing or sing-
ing experience, potential ‘endmen,
comedians, and interlocutors, are
welcome to try out. Frank Casey,
director, will be on hand.
The Minstrel] is slated for Novem-
ber 7, 8 and 9 at Dallas Senior
High School.

Keuka College, N.Y.
Judith M. Gross, daughter of Mr.
"and Mrs. Paul L. Gross, Sutton
Road, Shavertown, is one of 250
freshmen enrolled at Keuka College,
Keuka Park, New York.
| The 1963-64 academic year at
Keuka ‘began August 30. First
classes convened September 5.
Keuka College is a 4-year liberal
arts college for women located on
the shores of Keuka Lake, one of
New York's finger lakes. Current
| enrollment is 650. Major areas of

Receive Honors
Charles James Memorial Assembly
was honored at the Grand Assembly
i held at State College in August.
The local chapter received honor-
able mention for its service projects
and three members received the
Grand Cross of Color, highest award
ever given a Rainbow girl or ad-
visory board member.
Sally Moyer, Diane Myers and
‘Mrs. Agnes Myers were the recipi-
ents. Linda Tag will receive a like
award in Ohio.

Table Arrangements” will be pre-
sented by Mrs. Leonard Adam-

Della Robia Wreath which takes
eight weeks will be given only once
this year. If there are some who
plan to attend this class, they must

Hammond Organ Society
Back Mountain Hammond Organ
Society met September 11, at the
home of Mrs. William Krimmel,
Overbrook Road Dallas, with Burl
Updyke presiding.
Each member took his turn at the
organ, playing a selection relating
to the theme of the meeting ‘The
Roaring Twenties”. Surprise of the
evening, was the appearance of a
“flapper” in full dress, who did the
