day evening from attending the
funeral of Stanley Yeager, Jr., 22,
Cleveland, Ohio. i
The young man, an honor student
at Massachusetts Institute of Tech-
nology was the nephew of Mrs. An-
derson. He was killed ‘August 31, in
an automobile accident in Cleveland.
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Yeisley and
family, Glenburnie, Md., were week-
end guests of Mrs. Warren Yeisley.
The Yeisleys are former residents of
Shavertown. Keith is Mrs. Yeisley’s
grandson.
Also visiting at the Yeisley home
is Mrs. Grace Riley, Albany, N.Y.,
sistex of Mrs. Yeisley.

Buffalo, N. Y., recently visited Mr.

Shavertown PTA will sponsor a |
Fun Festival as its first activity of
the school year. |
Many attractive booths offering a
wide variety of ‘goodies and enter-
tainment will be manned by mothers
of students. :
The second fair to be held by the
school organization promises to be
more profitable than the first tried
two years ago, which exceeded ex-
pectations. !
Funds realized will be used to
send sixth grade youngsters on their
graduation trip’ to Philadelphia.
Mrs. Robert Bayer and Mrs. Wal-
ter Gosart are co-chairmen of the
fall event to be held Saturday, Sept-
ember 21 from 11 to 4 p.m. Mrs.
William Frederick is handling pub-
licity.
First grade mothers under the
chairmanship of Mesdames William
Pugh, (Craig Aicher and Andrew
Roan will head the Bake Sale Booth.
Shavertown PTA Fun Festival
Will Otter Variety Of Booths
Mesdames William Frederick,
Everell Chadwick, William Ostrum
and Louis Orloski will preside over
the Game Booth, second grade offer-
ing.
Mesdames Walter Roberts and
Merl Bigelow will be kept busy at
the third grade Candy and Ice Cream
stand, while Mesdames Milton Evans,
Clifford Parker and Walter Karl will
offer a wide selection of White Ele-
phant and Jewelry items for the
fourth grade.
Fifth grade booth will entice the
young fry with its: Fish Pond and
Comic Books, under supervision of
Mesdames ' Stamley Wills and Gor-
don Wolverton, Mrs. Elwood Dungey
and Mrs. Michael Bucan will preside
over the Snack Booth for sixth
grade. z
Mothers of all pupils will assist
at the various stands.
The public is urged to support the
affair. :
Mr .and Mrs. Alden Dietz, Beau-
mont, were homored Sunday on the
observance of their 25th anniversary
at a buffet dinner given by daugh-
ters, Nancy and Carolym Dietz and
Emma Richards. i
The couple were married Septem-
ber 10, 1938 by Rev. George Sweet,
Courtdale. Mrs. Dietz is the former
Thelma Richards. They have re-
sided in Beaumont all of their life.
There are six children: Carolyn,
student at Andrews University,
Michigan; Sally, enrolled at Blue
Mt. Academy, Hamburg, Pa.; Nancy
and Christopher, at home; Lynn
