LAST EXCURSION
We couldn't afford the time, but
Sunday afternoon we decided to
have our first and last family out-
ing for the season.
Our destination was the New Mil-
ford Folk Restival, approximately
60 miles distant in lovely country;
not as picturesque as that along
the trail of Wyalusing Rocks: but
nevertheless refreshing amd peace-
ful. The route turned right at
Tunkhannock, went through
Nicholson and Eop Bottom. We
took route 6 on the way home.
First neighbor we met was My-
ron Baker, Lehman. We asked if
he was lending his! dynamic talents
to the local auction, but he
chuckled and said ‘he had brought
the family on an outing and was
picking up ideas: for the Rotary!
Fair in. October. |
The balloon ascension had just
been made and the rattlesnake
milking also completed but there
were many interesting hobbies: anid
crafts on display and it was worth
the time, Details appear elsewhere
in the paper. /
Following our picnic supper, we
started back to the festival
grounds, and discovered a flat/tire.
Freddie's lug wrench wouldn’t fit,

hard te say why men object to ask-
ing for aid, but finally our reason-
ing won out and the second traveler

JUNFINISHED STORY
In thee story of Charles Harris last
week, rseveral items were deleted
causing anguish on the part of Joan
Brobst;,, whom we all know wouldn't
tharm | chick or child.
I had mentioned that the boys
had wvaited until Mr. Cleasby passed
on his way toward Dallas, that the
boys! standing, along the Druid Hills
side/ of the road were below the
rise which impaired proper vision.
This, however, did not appear in
print.
iWe are all praying for Charles’ re-
covery and this should be the main
concern, after all.
