Brominski he stated that the prospects of the gridiron squad for thecoming season are good. He feels that they may even repeat last year’s championship season. His reasons for this optimism are: First, the loss of only ten Seniors from a squad of forty-three players. Seniors who left were: Donald An- drews, Robert Ashman, Willard Bullack, Robert Letts, Sterling Mc- Michael, Arch Paltrinieri, Paul Siket, Gary Smith, Delbert Voight and Robert Decker; secondly, the return of thirty-two members of last year’s squad which includes thirteen Seniors and nineteen Juniors. Included among these are ten lettermen: Incoming Seniors John Farley, Howard Dymond, Michael Jones, Jospeh Noon, Thomas Kerpovich, Carl Kashenbach, William Swartwood, Allan Harris, Charles Lockard, John Brominski; also Walter Prokopchak, incoming Junior. Practice started August 19th, and the squad has been working daily from 9 A.M. to 12 noon, and will continue practice daily at this time until school starts. Practice consists of the basic fundamentals, and will be followed by scrimmages with Plains and Meyers in preparation for the start of the season with the opening game at Plymouth, the evening of September 20th, under lights. Coach Brominski is capably assisted by Louis Palermo, Senior High School Faculty; and George Dombek, Junior High School Faculty Member.
