DANGER ON THE UPPER ROAD
Heavy traffic on Pioneer Avenue
has seen speed traps in operation
the past three weekends with a
number of motorists caught exceed-
ing the 35 mile speed limit.
Operated at night, the police watch
fails to catch those tearing through
the area during daylight hours.
Several pedestrians during the past
few days have narrowly missed
being struck by the speeding cars.
A child would have no chance at
all.

Mt. Zion
Mrs. Alice Beam, mother of Mrs.
Kate Klein and Mrs. Wm. Hughes,
Mt. Zion, had a bad fall breaking
her hip. No, she didn’t fall down
stairs, or trip on a rug, it was
simply a case of falling over in the
middle of a well-carpeted floor at
Mrs. Hughes’. She told the doctor
that she just tumbled over like a
tree! She told Will Hughes that he
couldn’t pick her up because she
had a broken leg. It turned out to
be her hip and she was takem to
Nesbitt Hospital. She suffers a
good deal with it. Mrs. Klein and
Mrs. Hughes both have the sympa-
thy of Mt. Zion people in their
trouble
Also at Nesbitt Hospital is Mrs.
Roberts of Sutton Creek Road near
Orange, just down a ways from
Eatons Cormers. [She suffered a
heart attack similar to the one she
had a year ago, and was taken to
the hospital by ambulance for
oxygen. Mrs. Roberts is one of the
most cheerful patients one is ever
likely to meet. It is hoped this
rest and care im the hospital will
bring good results.

It was good to hear him. He gave
am excellent sermon which might
well be titled, “That's Why We're
Here.”
