Malkemes Weds Walter T. Mahoney, Brooklyn At a lovely summer wedding, Miss Margaret Ann Malkemes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Malkemes, Ferguson Avenue, Shavertown, became the bride of ‘Walter T. Mahoney, son of Mrs. Elvira Mahoney, Crescent Street, Brooklyn, N. Y., and the late Mr. Mahoney, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Shavertown on. Saturday, July 20 at 12:30 pm. Rev. Frederick Eidam performed the nuptial ceremony before an altar decorated with vases of white gladiola and pom poms, and white tapers in brass candelabra. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of French rose point lace over chiffon taffeta, styled with a pin tucked empire bodice with bateau neckline and brief scalloped sleeves. The modi- fied bell skirt was made with lace | inserts -and flowed into a formal silk train. Her bouffant veil of silk illusion was attached to a halo of pearlized orange blossom sprays. Her swing bouquet was of white daisies, baby breath and ivy. Mrs. James White, cougin of the bride, was matron of honor. She chose an aqua silk organza gown over chiffon taffeta, fashioned with an empire bodice, scoop neckline and elbow shy sleeves. An inter- mission length tunic with dainty tailored bows complemented the bell shaped skirt. Her headpiece was a large aqua horsehair hat, trimmed with rosebuds and satin streamers. She carried a swing bouquet of aqua daisies, baby breath and ivy. Best man was Frank Ferrara, Ozone Park, N. Y. Fred Malkemes, Jr., brother of the bride and Brian Mahoney, brother of the bride- groom, served as ushers. The mother of the bride chose a dress of pink embroidered organza and matching accessories. Her cor- sage was of pink carnations. light toast lace dress with matching accessories and also selected a cor- sage of pink carnations. Reception was held at Irem Tem- ple Country Club after which the couple left California. They will reside at 13 Wellington Road, Garden City, Long Island, after August 20. The bride is a graduate of West- moreland High School and was em- ployed by the New York Telephone Company. The bridegroom is an alumnus of Newtown High School, Elmhurst, N. Y., and is employed by the New York Telephone Company.
