more eggs per hen?
Feeding hens research-backed Purina laying rations

July 4th dawned bright and cool.
Old Glory began to appear early in
front of many residences to ripple
in the breeze. The snap of fire-
crackers set off by youngsters on
the other hill broke the silence.
As the day wore on, the steady
hum of cars whizzing by became
monotonous with only the screech-
ing siren of the ambulance piercing
the air waves and warning that
danger indeed rode the highway.
I waited impatiently for the ring-
ing of all bells in the community to
signal that new awareness of free-
dom in the ‘land. Promptly at 2
p.m., the bells of St. Paul's rang
out, pealing their glad tidings, but
there was no echoing chorus.

HOME AGAIN
Fred had a hunch that our son
would arrive ahead of schedule and
early Tuesday morning, our boxer
began to bark, his excitement
mounting as I stumbled down the
stairs.
To my great joy, two young men.
were unloading many bags and a
foot locker in the driveway. Freddie
at last, was home.
He had driven in from the West
Coast with Raymond Strazdus of
East Dallas, who was returning
home after spending some time in
Van Nuys, California. The boys
made good time, taking the far
southern route and driving night
and day.
The 20,000 mile trip was over and
we noticed a deep nostalgia for the
friends he had left behind in Tai-
wan, the little island where he had
worked and lived for more than a
year. To ' Fred, Jr., the whole
experience already seems like a
dream. He expects and hopes fer-
vently that on graduation from
Seminary he may again return to
the other side of the world to carry
on work just barely begun.
