Fred Boston Burial Today At Bethel Hill Fred Boston, Kunkle, died aged 81 Saturday night at Danville [State Hospital where he had been admit- ted a short time previously. He will be buried this afternoon at Bethel Hill, following services conducted from the Bronson Funeral Home by Rev. John Gordon, former pastor of Alderson Methodist Charge. Mr. Boston, father of nine child- ren, leaves 95 direct descendants. He was born at Fairmount Springs, son of the late Ezra and Eliza Pace Boston. Rosengrant from Water- bury, Conn. the oldest member present on Sunday at the twenty- ninth annual reunion of the de- Ransom. Mr. Rosengrant, hale and hearty, and with a full complement | of hair, looking a possible sixty- | five, was one of the out-of-town and State contingent which equalled in numbers the local folks from greater Wyoming Valley and the Back Mountain. Mr. Rosengrant back again next year, still primed with stories about the Spanish- American War, and the days when he was engineer for the Lewis Lum- ber Company at Stull and installed | the first electric generator for the Alderson area well before the turn of the cemtury. The generator fur- | nished power for not only the Lewis Lumber Company mill, but for the company store and hosed, ‘When a boy in Beaumont, young Vollney used to help his father Nel- son with his blacksmithing. In 1906, he moved away to Waterbury, the brass capital of the country, and was active in ‘the brass mamufac- turing business until retirement in the mid-forties.
