Granahan, Treasurer of the United

president of the Wilkes-Barre

Dr. and Mrs. Charles Hosler, Lynn,
Sharon, Peter and David, State Col-
lege, spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Hosler, Parrish
Street. Dr. Hosler, who is a me-
terologist at ‘State College, recently
returned after a lecture tour of
Switzerland.
Artie Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Miller, Huntsville Road, will
spend the summer at Camp Acar
hela, as a counselor,
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stair, Conn.,
spent the . weekend visiting his

town. Ernest, who is studying for

Rosalie Ann Martin, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Martin, Largo,
Florida, formerly of Harveys Lake
and James M. Mitchell son of Mr.
and Mrs. Marion L. Mitchell, St. Pet-
ersburg, Florida, were married May
31 in First Free Methodist Church,
St. Petersburg. ”
Rev. Harold Cranston’ officiated
assisted by Rev. John Hendricks.
The bride given in marriage by her
father, wore a ballerina length gown
of lace over taffeta with a fitted
bodice and long sleeves tapered at
‘the wrists. Her veil fell from a crown
of seed pearls and mother-of-pearl
sequing #n the shape of small hearts.
She carried a white orchid with rose
buds and ivy atop a white Bible, gift
of the bridegroom. !
Susan Wood, St. Petersburg, was
maid of honor. She chose a street
length powder-blue dress made of
lace and taffeta, identical to that of
the bride. Bridesmaids were Misses
Janet and Patricia Mitchell, both
sisters of the bridegroom. They also
wore street length dresses of powder

blue in contrasting style with taffeta
and lace. They carried red rose buds
atop a blue heart made of taffeta
and lace to match their dresses and
wore small heart shaped hats.
Al Keyser, St. Petersburg, was
best. man. Fred: Cooley, Jim Sweeny
and John Sweeny served as ushers.
Bonny Cranston, Clearwater, was
flower girl. She wore a blue taffeta
dress, had a small heart shaped hat
and carried a blue and white basket
of red and white rose buds. Timmy
Cranston, Clearwater, . was ring
bearer.
A reception was held in the church
parlor, after which the couple mo-
tored to the beaches for their honey-
moon.
The bride is a mative of Harveys
Lake and a graduate of Westmore-
land High. School. She is employed.
as a secretary in. the St. Petersburg
Parks and Recreation Department.
Mr Mitchell is a native ‘of St.
Petersburg and is a graduate of
Boca Ciega High School." He is at-
tending Florida Presbyterian College.
Dana Gail Jones, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Lawerence Jones, Shaver-
town, became the bride of Charles
J. Weiss, Jr., son of the late Charles
and Mrs. Margaret Weiss, East
Dallas, on Saturday, June 15.
Ceremony was performed in East
Dallas Methodist Church
by Reverend William F. Watson.
Reception followed at the Franklin
House, Centermoreland.
The bride wore a white bal-
lerina length organza gown, with
embroidered bodice. A small crown
and shoulder length veil adorned

and flower girl in the recent wed-
ding of Lorraine Miller, Wilming-
ton, Delaware to Thomas Miller,
Wilkes-Barre.
The bridal attendants are cousins
of the bridegroom, who is the
grandson of Mrs. Rose Kozemchak,
Overbrook Avenue, Dallas.
Wedding was performed in First
Reformed Church, Wilkes-Barre on
June 22. Mr. Miller is the son of
Myr. and Mrs. Luther Miller, 63
Covell Street, Wilkes-Barre.

Mr. Weiss graduated June 10,
from Wilkes College with high
honors. He has accepted a position
with Western Electric, Allentown.
The couple will reside in Jordan
Park Apartment, Fullerton.

Will Hold Open House
Mr. and Mrs. William P. Perrego,
Orange will observe their 50th wed-
ding aniversary Sunday at an Open
House held by their son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William
Beverly Perrego at the family home.
Mrs. Perrego is the former Emma
Eaton, Orange. She is a graduate
of Bloomsburg ‘State Teachers Col-
lege and taught in Shavertown and
Franklin Township Schools.
Mr. Perrego is a Shavertown na-
tive, son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Perrego, and was engaged in
carpenter work prior to retirement.
The couple were married in Nan-
ticoke Methodist Church parsonage
by Rev. Clark Callender.*
They have one son, William B.
who resides. with them: and two
grandchildren, Mrs. Richard Sands,
Tunkhannock and Willian C. Per-
rego. Also two greatgrandchildren,
Richard and Laura Sands.

Homors At Graduation
Lisa Harvey, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Laning Harvey, dJr., Lehman,
was awarded the Harry E. Ruggles
Award ‘as the outstanding graduate
of her class at Wyoming Seminary
recently.
Lindsley Morgan Washburn A-
ward for Excellence in Mathematics
was bestowed on Verna Lee Pritch-
ard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verne
Pritchard, Trucksville.
Miss Pritchard also shared the
Almeda Ruth Cushman Spencer
Bible Prize with Molly S. Harris,
Kingston.
Miss Harvey will enter Sweet Briar
College: in the fall and Miss Pritch-
ard will study for a degree in Math-
ematics at Alleghany College, Mead-
ville.
