Rev. and Mrs. Fred M. Eister will
celebrate their 25th Wedding Anni-
versary on Saturday, June 15. They
will mark the event with open house
from 2 to 9 on Saturday, at their
home in the Methodist Parsonage,
Alderson, Harveys Lake.
Rev. Eister and the former
| Kathryn Fisher exchanged vows in
First Lutherian Church, Westmin-
ster, Maryland, on June 15, 1938.
They both graduated from Sun-
bury High School. Mrs. Eister is the
daughter of Lila and the late John
C. Fisher. Rev. Eister’s parents were
David and Verda Eister.
Their marriage was blessed with
four children: Fred, Jr., Johnstown,
Pa., twins, Robert and Jacqueline
deceased, and John, at home. John
attended Columbia High School in
South Orange, New Jersery and
eagerly anticipates his enrollment in
the local High School. There are two
grandchildren, who will attend the
celebration.
The Eisters have returned to this
area recently after three years in
San Juan, Puerto Rico. During their
married life they lived
Juan, Puerto Rico, Maplewood, N.dJ.
Both have been active in church
and community affairs. Mrs. Eister
is Past Matron of Wilkes-Barre Chap-
ter 90, Order of Eastern Star, re-
cently made honorary member of
Puerto Rico Chapter 1 and also of
the Grand Chapter of Puerto Rico,
O.E.S.
Rev. Eister is general manger of
Super-Form, Inc., and mister of
the Alderson Charge of the Method-
ist Church, serving the four churches
of Ruggles, Noxen, Alderson, and
Kunkle.

Divan of the Shrine Club of Puerto
Rico.
For over 36 years he has been
actively associated with the Boy
Scouts as a Scout and Scouter.
In 1960, Rev. Eister addressed
the Philippine Conference of the
Methodist Church, and preached in
|mumerous Provinces throughout the
Philippines and in Hong Kong.
While in Puerto Rico he served as
Civilian Chaplain end preached at
the Fort Erooke and Fort Buchan-
nan Chapels.
Dallas WSCS Meets
W.S.C.S. of Dallas Methodist
Church met recently for a covered
dish luncheon. Hostesses were Mes-
dames Homer Moyer, John LaBerge,
Howard Wiley, Walter Brunges,
Guy Faust and Miss Mary Jane
Faust. Greeters were: Mrs. John
Blase and Mrs. Nelson Nelson. De-
votions and program were given by
Mrs. Russell Lawry. Mrs. Charles
Hosler presided, Mrs. David Evans
presented the budget.
Jay Raymond Chappel
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Chapgell,
North Main Street, Shavertown,
nounce the birth of a six pound
eleven ounce son, Jay Raymond,
born May 31 at Wyoming Valley
Hospital. This is the first child.
Mrs. Chappell is the former Janet
Fernstrom, Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Chap-
pell is employed as an apprentice
electrician.
Lutheran Church were feted at a
banquet Friday evening with the
ladies of the church serving the
baked ham dinner.
Clayton Stetson gave the tribute
