For Annual Camp Meeting June 28
Pastor Roger H. Clausen of Beau-
mont Seventh-day Adventist Church
will forsake his ministerial duties
this Sunday, June 16, and turn car-
penter and general handyman to
help prepare. for his church’s an-
nual campmeeting and summer

on Friday, June 28.
Pastor Clausen is joining minis-
ters, Bible workers and other church
employees from Eastern Pennsyl-
vania at the camp site to help pre-
pare for the influx of 1600 persons
daily at the annual ten-day relig-
ious convocation.
He will be busy until opening
day putting up direction signs, plac-
ing thousands of chairs, equipping
family tents, stringing electrical
wiring and a host of other duties.
“Beaumont Adventist Church
members are expecting one of the
biggest and most important con-
ferences ever held by the denomina-
tion at Wescosvill this year,” Pastor
Clausen said in reference to his an |
usual duties, ‘“and the ministers
and other church workers are go-
ing to do all they can to make these
expectations come true.”
Sabbath School and church lead-
ers are laying plans this week for
local participation.
Alden Dietz, Sabbath School |
leader, said that local members will‘
participate in two sessions at the
conclave on Saturday, June 29 and
Saturday, July 6.
“Our members will transfer their
regular Saturday program to this
great religious convocation,” Dietz
said. “Our offerings will be given
there and officials of our Sabbath
School will function there if asked.”
Jack Davis, elder of the local
church, says that worship services
for the local members will also
emanate from the campsite for the
two weekends, when members will
hear top church officials at the two
Saturday morning services.
