Mrs. George Gaylord, of Lewis Avenue, has returned home after being a patient in Nesbitt Hospital recently. David Mathers will leave this week on a business trip to New York State and Conn. He is em- ployed by Royer Foundry of Kings- ton, Pa. Harold Croom is on an extended trip to Indianapolis, Indiana, for Royer Foundry. Shavertown school children selling light bulbs to raise funds for the 6th grade trip to Philadelphia made an excellent record. Top scores went to the sixth grade salesmen, who sold $561 worth. Mrs. Porter's room came in second. Mother's Day proved to be ideal, with many folks in the area taking advantage of the sunny day to visit parents or children. Many held happy reunions, while some look forward to the future to greet members of their family. Among these are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nicely, who shortly will wel- come home their son, Robert and his wife, who will return from Japan after more than three years. The young couple will depart May 30, arriving home June 2. Bob has been in the Air Corps for five years. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eck had as a recent guest. Mrs. Ellaveve Hass. have returned Ocala, Florida. The Ecks along with daughters Beverly and Dorothy drove her down to Mooretown, N.J. on Sunday where she will be the guest of her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Luce. On the way back they stopped to see son, Jack, at Muhlenberg College.
